Little Ladies with WL+ Hair

I’m 5’2 or 5’3, thought my original goal was MBL, I now want to grow to WL because I want to wear it mostly curly and/or wavy. With this in mind, I would prob. look MBL anyway, but if I were to wear it straight I don’t think it would look overwhelming. Like someone already mentioned, Traycee has tailbone length and she looks awesome .

This is interesting. I'm 5' 4" and I never think of it as "short." But, my bf and his friends are 6' and taller, and I rarely wear heels. Around them, I'm short as compared to a lady who is 5' 7" or taller and rocking heels, so I can see what your SO might have meant.

After joining, I decided I wanted WL hair....but then my APL-length hair (relaxed) is a lot - it's thick and it's starting to take forever to style. So I really don't know....

ETA: It *might* be overwhelming, but you can always cut it....you won't really know how it looks on you until you grow it out that long. I don't think he meant anything bad by it - just a guy making a casual observation.

I'm know he meant no harm. I think some are offended by 5'4" being called short. I hear the all the time, doesn't bother me...

5'4 is not short that's around average height for women, and ITA you should just grow it out longer if that's what you want, and when SO sees it he'll probably not even realize that's the length you were talking about, men have no clue until they see the visual.

I told SO I want long hair, (WL) yesterday and he says "You have enough. You have to realize that because you're short, (5'4") long hair wouldn't look right on you". I see where he's coming from, just the same as when you have little women wearing big baggy clothes overwhelming their height.

What do you ladies think?

I would take this with an enormous grain of salt....first of all...you're natural...so you can rock APL twists just as soon as you could rock your hair straightened once you achieve WSL, as long as you cut your hair in a way that is flattering....I dont see where there would be an issue.....huge blownout hair on a very petite girl can be overwhelming on the frame though....it depends but I think the LHCF ladies can definitely make it work
