you feel are absolutely necessary for hair growth. If someone asked you how to get a healthy head of hair, but u could only tell them 3 things, what would they be? For me it would be:
1. Use Lye Relaxers
2. Avoid heat like the plague
3. Condition, Condition, Condition!
Hmmm...just three...
1.Avoid over combing/brushing (takes the hair out)
2.Avoid heat (use up/dos on bad hair days)
3.Wrap it every night (protect from breakage)
1. Take extraordinary care of the hairs' ends, oil them daily and dust splits often, get your hair trimmed as needed not necessarily the every 6-8 or 8-10 weeks that's often recommeded by hair stylists.
2. Eliminate as much heat as possible, air dry whenever you can. If you must use heat, use a hood dryer, only sparingly though. If you can dry half way under the dryer, allow hair to air dry the rest of the way.
3. Wrap you hair up at night. Either with a scarf, bonnet or use a satin pillowcase. Give your hair some sort of defense against breakage while you sleep.

[*]Wash hair once a week minimum and always condition after use.
[*]Minimise heat/combing and brushing.
[*]Moisturise Moisturise Moisturise!!! [/list]

Only 3, huh? Quite a challenge, Armyqt. But here it goes.
-wash and condition 2x/week and eliminate curling irons & blow dryers;
-moisturize regularly; and
-finger comb to avoid excess manipulation.
It's hard to narrow things down but here goes:
1. Always deep condition and trimm splits.
2. Eat right, excercise, take vitamins.
3. Take your time with your hair, and use but don't abuse your hair with heat, chemicals etc...
3. Did a nightly scalp massage on the bed, on my back with my head hanging off the bed. /images/graemlins/grin.gif A 'la blood rush to the head.
I have a couple more things that definitely made my hair grow but you said name only 3. /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif ....Tonia
1. Avoid friction loss (wear satin bonnets, don't mess with hair too much, protect the ends)
2. Take care of your overall health (eat right, exercise, water, yada yada)
3. Wash and condition at least 1x a week (condtion washes for any washing more frequently than 1x a week)
1. Moisturize Moisturize Moisturize
2. Deep condition with every shampoo or no-poo
3. Protect the hair during the day (in protective styles) and at night before bed (satin pillow and silk scarves/caps)
1) Consisently sticking to your hair regime no matter what
2) Eating healthy, i.e., vitamin supplements
3) Massage/headstand to allow blood to nourish your hair follicles
i have been following this plan strictly since the 1st of May because i'm trying to get 4" by the end of August.
frequent washing esp. for type 4 a/b(tends to be dry and brittle)
using a high quality deep conditioner at least once a week
using a high quality moisturiser at least once a day
