LHCF SUMMER 2007 - WHAT ARE YOUR SUMMER HAIR GOALS?

My goals are:
-to continue to get my hair as healthy as possible
-co-wash every other day and deep condition once a week
-dust ends
-be consistent and maintain positive attitude to reach APL by December
 
:scratchch Let's see. What do I want to achieve this summer...

Thicken up my hair, especially those ends/hairline
Continue weekly DC
Add more cowashes
Increase water intake
Find some protective styles
Retain some sort of length, a couple inches I hope
Stop trying new products for a while ;)
 
Goal 1: To see if I can stretch my relaxer until August. Last had one in April

Goal 2: See if I can find a Dominican stylist or any trust worthy stylist to do my relaxers in the surrounding states as it's becoming difficult for me to do myself.
 
1. To grow to full shoulder length by september(c'mon bt)
2. To finish my triathlon, and to complete my first 1/2 marathon
3. To retain retain retain, so I can be at apl stretched by January

2. Start Baggying at least 3x/wk (looking forward to trying Whipped Baggy Cream - thanks BJ)
3. No heat until 1 yr nappiversary in August
4. Continue to exercise 5-6x/wk
5. Remain consistent with water
6. Continue to eat more protein
7. Start taking All One MV powder (no more popping pills)
 
mmmmmmmm banana pudding is my weakness:drool:

Continue to workout 5 times a week
Increase my water intake
cowash my hair after every workout
increase my protein intake
continue taking my vitamins at night
fight the urge to have red meat
thicken my hair back up
find a way to style hair without the use of a brush
 
I think I have my regimen down, so this summer I want to focus on...

1. a healthy diet (including lots of protein)
2. going to the gym
3. trying twists and other styles
 
My summer goal is to acquire one more inch of hair without needing a trim. I just had a real good trim and I don't want to get another until fall/winter. My ultimate goal is full APL hair.

DC every 2 weeks
Master the twistout
Use heat less than 2x per month
Stay consistent w/everything I'm doing
NO NEW PRODUCTS (I've turned into a PJ)
Achieve MBL by AUGUST '07

I really want that to be me this summer....especially now that I underprocessed my touch up :ohwell: I swear I'm scared to go there for a rollerset..
I'm gonna have to master something this summer.

I think you can definitely achieve MBL soon Meaganita :grin:

I think I have a quite a few....
1. Get a corrective relaxer on the right side of my head since the ends on the right are splitting...
2. Retain my length for once, after getting rid of the splits.
3. Continue to wash and deep condtion twice a week, but implement BBD Stretch if I continue to use heat (under hood).
4. Maybe, just maybe coloring my hair with Bigen but must start taking Flaxseed oil if I do to counteract dryness.
5. Get some BT
Thats what I can think of for now.

- To be consistent (vits, co-wash, DC)
- No heat
- Learn how to rollerset
- APL
 
Great thread Mona:

- Get consistent with my growth aides.
- Get back my length I lost in Feb
- Retain about 2 inches
- Go back to washing 2 times a week
- Master the kinky twists and let that be my summer style

-Continue bunning
-Retain as much length as possible ;-)
-Stretch past 8wks (summer is hard to stretch) usually 10-12wks
-Baggy ends when dry

I want a decent sized, wearable puff by the time school starts on August 27th. I will hopefully achieve this with the help of BT.
 
Over the summer I plan to 1) step up the water consumption - both internal and daily cowashes. 2) find a regimine that works for me and 3) rid myself of pj-ism. I'm so proud of myself. I didn't buy or order 1 hair product this week.

Seriously though, I hope that by the end of summer I'm able to pull all my short hair back into a pony - even if its a teeny-weeny one:lol: :lol: :lol:
 
How are folks doing with their summer hair goals so far?

It's almost midpoint for July......

I am determined to at least semi-master rollersetting this summer - and I want to invest in a stand up hooded dryer, just like at the Dominican spot, so I can suffer in the privacy of my home instead of out in public.

I already told my sister she will be a guinea pig if I get the dryer.

Summer unofficially ends Labor Day weekend...
and officially ends on September 22nd, 2007...

Make it do what it do ladies....I'll be checking back midpoint...August..;)
 
My goals this summer are:

o Low Manipulation/maintenance
o No relaxer (until 2nd week of September)
o Maintain my current regime
o Use heat only once a week if that


O-Currently the sides are an inch below my ear and the back is at the bottom of my neck. My goal is for my sides to be jaw length at the least and my back to be shoulder length by September when I relax. I will change my avater to display the results in September.

Same here:) I'm also using a new shampoo especially for dry hair with rosemary oil that I absolutely love, it's 100% organic and it doesn't lather as much, it really leaves my scalp clean.
