Layers are the best thing I could have done

My sorority had a formal this weekend, and I wanted to do something different with my hair. One of my sorors was like "Why don't you get layers?" I don't know why I agreed (but in my defense, I had had about 5 hours of sleep in 2 nights... :look: ), but I did.

I've always been a little afraid to cut layers because I thought that my hair was too fine and that it would make my ends look thin, but I've found that that's not the case. My hair has more movement, is easier to detangle and looks fuller. And I can still do my bun.

One of my LS's snapped this pic. I didn't know she was taking it, so I'm not really sure what I'm saying, but this pic made me really happy that I got layers.

Sorry it's so dark...

Oh, its so full and pretty. I like the way it falls around your face. I'll bet it swings heavy in the back! Beautiful.

Your hair looks very pretty! I'm also layered and I love them! It makes my hair look much fuller and I have lots of swang :D

So pretty! Yes, I'm a layered girl and I love them. My layers are not deep layers... my shortest layer is probably APL and the longest is almost BSL. I think about going to one length but they look so pretty with rollersets and yes, the swang! :)

I was contemplating getting some layers because its been a couple of years since Ive had them and seeing your pics I think I just may. You and SerenityBreeze both look so nice with them.:)

I agree with the rest of the ladies...great choice with the layers...they look great!!! I'm a fan of layers myself.

I personally like layers since I have medium fine hair strands... I got mine done in layers a long time back and even my hair grows out in layers.. that gives me a much needed volumous look and a full head of hair...what a great illusion. That ontop of rollersets and twist/braid outs my hair actually looks a whole lot thicker than it really is. I am not going to get my hair evened out because of the positive effects that I get with layers!

I wholeheartedly agree. Long layers are a good option because they do offer lots of movement, shape your hair's silhouette, and allow you to keep your length. They make rollersets look so much better, too. They offer lots of styling versatility, look classy, modern and sexy, and grow out gracefully. Layers are usually the best choice for fine and/or thin hair.
