Hey Ladies

Age 21

Regimen : Thats my problem I don't have one. I have like no patience and I get soo frustrated with my, hair so easily. I try to style it, and if I don't like it, or usually when my products don't mix well together (white hair), I'll just wash and start over, it takes up wayy to much of my time, and makes me late to class.

I know what products my hair likes, but I can never seem to buy them consistently to have a steady regimen.

My would be staple hairstyle is a twist out w/JBCO. & sleeping with a bonnet.

I like big fluffy hair like Curly Nikki. & aside from doing the style I just mentioned, my hair just lays so flat in the back, it blows the **** out of me. I feel like my hair rules my life, I can't leave the house if I don't like it.

My hair is dyed dark brown w/ Creme of Nature Chestnut Brown Permanent Color. Great Brand. *try using only conditioners for color treated hair otherwise it strips my color and then damages my hair.

Current Length: Bra Strap

Hair Goal: a Full & Round shaped Hip Length :)

Any Curly hair stylist/cutter recommendations in the DMV or Baltimore Area ?

Great thread. Good luck ladies. Much love.

ETA: The sig pictures are all like a year old, so like ignore those. lls.

So I managed to find the Giovanni line in the UK in WholeFoods. (On sale for £7)
I bought the Direct Leave In. At first I didn't like it. Although I didn't give it a fair chance by not using an oil to seal as I was plaiting my hair for the night. I was like 'what is all the hype about?' Then I tried it the next day with EVOO. My hair melted in my hands. I love it. I don't know how I lived without it. I don't know what I'm gonna do when I can't afford to buy it.

Also, how do you ladies feel about Aloe Vera Juice?

Heyyyy. I've tried the Shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie to do mini twists. I liked the way they felt but they gave me a lot more build up than usual. Ill Probably use it again though.

Thanks! I really like how the curl milk moisturized my twists so I'm hoping the smoothie will give me a little more hold and possibly help with wash and go's whenever I decide to try one of those

I'm in kinky twists for the majority of the year. I usually spray my hair with a conditioner/water/oil mix once or twice a day and wash my hair every one to two weeks depending on my schedule.
When it's out of twists I bun. I will wear twists until I reach my goal of APL

I'm currently SL, hoping to be past APL by May 2013

Goal length is BSL in back APL in front

Cool thread idea.

Age: 21, graduating in May!

Regimen: I used to wash and DC 1x a week religiously, but I've been so busy this semester that has turned into 2x a month. I actually kind of prefer it because I hate dealing with my wet hair anyway.

I use mostly Shescentit & Darcy's Botanicals. As for how I afford it... 3 ways. 1) Buy it myself...ouch, moving on to 2) I e-mail links to dad with specific instructions. 3) I got my mom on her HHJ and hooked on the products I like so she orders them for us and they disappear into my bag to go back to school.

I wash 1x a week, protein tx with SSI Okra and follow up with SSI Avocado. SSI Coco Creme leave in sealed with Vatika Frosting. I either airdry using the scarf method or put in 6-8 braids to airdry.

Starting in January I upped my water intake (from going days without it to at least 1L a day) and started taking a daily multivitamin this month. I relax at home every 12-14 weeks and use the Mizani Butter Blends system.

Current Length: Longest layer is past WL, shortest layers are around APL/BSL. I want a blunt cut.

Goal Length: I think full HL

Age: 16. I'm homeschooled - I'll be graduating in May, woohoo! I'm an entrepreneur so money is not that much of a problem for me.
Regimen: I wash my hair with shampoo every 1-2 weeks. I usually detangle when I wash, either with my fingers or a wide tooth comb and/or Denman brush.
Moisturize with my homemade leave-in conditioner, air dry and a protective style (usually large twists in a bun). Re-moisturize every 3 days or whenever I feel my hair needs it.
Current length: WL. Goal length is TBL, possibly longer.

BUMPING lol I'm 17 (and 10 months woop),

I found the forums when I was 16 1/2. I was relaxed ended up transitioning like a week after I found this lol. BC may 24 2012 :)

Regimen: wash/dc once a week and moisturize wit coconut oil and water. My regg is so simple yet im forever buying products. Usually my hair is in a puff

Current length: CBL

Goal: I would like to have WL hair by the time I graduate college; right now I'm a senior in high school

My main issues were people with their smart comments smh, transitioning and the first month of being natural was hard but I'm happy I stuck with it. Now they all love my hair lol I'm moving to a new country soon so I hope they are accepting
