Yes. I installed one about 2 months ago and I can tell the difference in hair and body. My skin used to itch if I stayed in the shower too long, not anymore. My skin is also less dry so I don't have to apply body lotion and my hair is softer.

Yes, I picked up an inexpensive one from Home Depot about six months ago. My skin isn't nearly as dry as it used to be.

I have the sprite filter with attatched showerhead. I'm so spoiled by it now that I don't remember what my hair and skin felt like without it.

Yep, i got the showerhead filter and my hair and skin has been much softer. I also notice the clear glass shower doors don't get as cloudy/filmy. I've had it for a couple of weeks and i've had to re-try all of my products since i got it.

Some things that didn't work at all before are working SO well now I am amazed (mostly my shampoo bars and no sulfate shampoos, like DevaCare, ABBA, etc.) Before they were leaving like a film on my hair and now, it's just feels soft and moisturized after use. I guess the minerals and chlorine, etc in the water were interfering with the products abilities...

Thank you! I was searching their site for one and couldn't find one... I haven't clicked yet. Are they hard to install?

I installed mine in about 15 min.:yep: I had the removable shower head and all i did was screw off the old, put some plumbers tape around the new one and screwed my new one on. I didn't even have to change the shower head holder bc it's almost kinda universal.

Yes. For something that is relatively inexpensive it's very much worth it if you live in a hard water area. My skin is so smooth, and I finally have that coveted 'dewy' look in my face!

Aww man , I don't know.
I purchased a "rain" tpe showerhead over a year ago... I'm spoiled with it... DH likes it too... is there a hybrid or attachment

I think I need one, nj's water is not like nyc water, I never use to have problems with my hair until coming to nj, I know others that have the same issue, since you ladies have good reviews on water filters in the showers then I must give one a try.

I have the sprite Shower filter.... Love it. I figured that I did not need to buy something more pricey. it is 20 bucks. The 1st one I bought died after a few months. So - Just headed to Lowe's and bought another.... I time them about 6 months....

I don't waste time with filters. I just buy new ones....

After being in missouri - and having to shampoo there.... Oh boy - I know the difference...

I have this one too, it is great i got it from Home Depot for $30 something bucks about 4-5 months ago i should go qand get a replacement filter soon. You really can tell the difference, and its like its Softer on my skin and hair with the filter. :yep:

I have a Sprite filter also. I installed it the day after my BC and I LOVE it!! I wanted to give my new natural curlies the very best I could give. My hair feels soft, but since I'm working with my natural texture, this just may be due to my products (I use Giovanni and Aubrey Organics) and/or because my natural hair just feels so much better than my transitioning hair.

I will say this though, my skin feels wonderful! There is definitely a noticeable difference in how soft it is now compared to before I had my filter. It was a WONDERFUL investment! I highly recommend it to anyone who has hard water. I live in AZ where the water is TERRIBLE!! Now, I couldn't imagine taking a shower without it :).

Yes I have a shower head filter. One of the best decisions I ever made. In my area of England the water is hard with lots of limescale, since I got the filter my skin and hair are much softer.

Quick question for you ladies who live in areas of hard water. Do the filters just get rid of the chlorine or do they also help with the minerals?

No, not yet. Really should get one. Someone shared a link for where I can get one in the UK earlier this year and I've forgotten. I might have subscribed to that thread actually...

Thanks for this thread, a much needed reminder.
