Hair Coach
I have been a member of this board for about 2 days and it has been wonderful. All of you ladies are wonderful. I am getting so much advice and encouragement. Reading the posts is so encouraging and helpful. I will keep you all up to date on my hair growing journey. My ultimate goal is to have waistlength hair but my summer goal is to gain about 3 inches(wish me well!

)I wish I had found this forum back in 2000 when I was growing my hair out then. I actually did get it about three inches past my shoulders but lost it due to damage and breaking.

I have not had a relaxer since Dec 6 2002. I currently press and curl. I am going to braid my hair for the summer to see if I can gain about 3 inches. My hair grows a lot faster in the summer. I have been doing deep conditioning treatments every week for the past month and my hair is regaining its health. It is not as thick as it looks. My hair had just gotten wet the day before so my press was a little swollen. I try to only apply heat once a week regardless!
Thanks.

http://photos.yahoo.com/dontspeakdefeat

Welcome, and your hair looks nice an thick, you won't have any problems gettting more length.

RE: Brownie and Lucia Thanks! I am a press and curl transitioner. I hope I can last! My daughter's hair is actually in the 2a/b catergory it is very easily straightened but very dry and very thin except in the top of her head. I applied a relaxer a year ago to help combat some of the breakage. Wish that I had found this forum before I did that thought! It is doing very well depite!

Happy Anniversary DSD! YOu have awsome before and after (current) shots! Can't wait to see the future shots!
