-Continue my version of the cg method(no wash and goes, just twist/braid outs)
-Consistently take my msm
-Up my water intake! Eat less processed and more whole.
-m&s daily, dc 1-2x a week
-Overcome cg method induced hand in hair syndrome
-Continue the summer no heat challenge w/o using any passes
-Hopefully reach bsl by the end of the month

Whimsy, what will you be using to dye your hair black?

For me, I am thinking:
-clay wash and deep condition weekly
-keep hair stretched: flexi rods and twists
-reach BSL:yay:
-buy a banana clip and start doing styles with it
-maybe dye black.

CarLiTa i bought some cheap boxed dye. i was using indigo but indigo fades away fast for me. luckily i dont have to use it on my roots that have grown in these last 10 months or so

how's clay washing workng for u? i bought some clay but haven't used it yet.

Thanks! I had been looking up indigo, but it seems so messy and complicated. I'm not on that advanced stuff yet.

I only use clay sporadically. This past weekend I finally finished the jar I've had since 2009. I was iffy about it during the cold months bc I had a hard time washing it out before my shower turns cold, but I realized several things after doing more research:
- was doing it wrong (or making it more difficult for myself) by making it a super thick consistency. My hair turned out great last weekend, and I think it has to do with the fact that I had it VERY watered down, much like that Terresentials mud wash.

- was letting it dry in my hair:eek: turns out that's just asking for trouble. I now wear a shower cap to keep it wet for the 20-30 mins I let it sit.

I love it, actually. My scalp gets gunky from my workouts, and I find that shampoo isn't cutting it to remove the sand-like layer that ends up on the scalp:perplexed
Bentonite clay does a FANTASTIC job at helping me remove everything, while keeping the hair soft. Think I'll make it my shampoo for the summer and play around with different variations of ingredients for it. HTH!

I'm in senegalese braids but--
1. M&S daily
2.massage daily
3. cowash 2-3x weekly
4. DC weekly

Contine using modified CG Method - I rinse out the conditioner, and gel it.
Continue taking vits regularly, and add back in the biotin
Add a clarifying cowash to reggie since I'm using cones again.
Add an Ayuvedic DC every 2 weeks
Either find a better gel, or do a better job putting it in :ohwell:
Keep on doing what I'm doing...cause it's working!

My hair goals:
- trim my ends
- complete 6 weeks of cg method
- DC 2x a week
- cowash 3x a week
- figure out styles for my NL/SL hair
- hopefully figure out how to maintain my ends
- retain at least 1/2"

  • Keep my hair balanced
  • Moisturize and seal ends often
  • Visualize growth and thickness
  • Experiment with banana clip and french twist combs
  • Flatiron near end of the month

Increase the moisture in my hair
Get a weave to protect my hair
Increase my water intake
Start my "new exercise reggie"

- Protective style for the entire month, avoiding ponytails/buns
- Pay special attention to my crown and edges
- Deep condition weekly, using Aphogee 2 min after dcing
- Continue to drink water, exercise, take my iron pills, and eat cleaner

- Stop comparing my hair to others with longer hair who went natural (years) after me.
- Protect my ends better (I chopped off an inch today).
- Protective style for at least 4 days and just leave my hair alone.
