When I first came to the boards I used Redken and it was the worst product I have used. My hair felt completely fried after using the Smooth Down poo and the conditioner did NOTHING. I then moved on to the Matrix sleek look line and I thought I had found my HG poo and con until a few days ago when I bought the Joico Moisture Recovery line. I didn't realize how drying the Matrix line was for me until I tried this. It moisturized my hair so well! Even the next day after blow drying my hair on cool it feels soft and moisturized. I love the fact that the products are pH balanced. I thinkl that is very important especially when it comes to poo, with Joico I am not afraid to shampoo my hair I actually enjoy it. I will be sticking to this line because I see immediate results!

I dunno if I can vote. I only like Redken for it's Extreme leave in (blue bottle)

I love Joico. Seriously. I like the way that the prods are ph balanced (I'm sure Redken is too, I guess). I don't like that the shampoos have sulfates but, I don't really use shampoo anyway.

I bought the Redken Real Control line, it was not able to 'come thru' for me. (Me and my hair were in a fight and i needed something to be on my side, lol) and it really let me down. I should have tried the other things in the Redken line but I'm a little scared after the whole Real Control fiasco..

i have been a redken fan for some time now. i love the all soft line and the butter treat was ok.
but last night i washed with k pak shampoo, left the reconstructor on for five minutes and left the hydrator on for five minutes with only the steam from the shower and my hair was like butter when i washed it off. i am in love. i only have the sample pack so this weekend i am going to get the full size of the shampoo, reconstructor and hydrator because i already have a big bottle of the conditioner from way back when.
also im thinking of adding a cap full of aloe vera juice to the shampoo.

you might fall in love with the redken all soft line. really you should try it when you get a chance.

I haven't tried any Redken products but I went ahead and voted for Joico. After using the K-Pak and Moisture Recovery lines I see no need to ever stray from these. NOTHING else I have tried has made my hair so soft and take to moisture so well. Even my new growth loves it! I might try the All Soft conditioner at some point in the future, but for now, I am completely in love with Joico. I just wish I had known about it at the beginning of my hair journey! It would have saved me a ton of money (believe it or not).

I have not tried anything from the Redken line, but after I used Joico k pak deep penetrating reconstructor and Joioco intense hydrator this past weekend, I won't be looking for anything else. My hair hasn't felt this good since I can't remember when! :lick:
I am in love with this stuff!

I voted Joico, although I also have and used both. I love them both. I have the Butter Down Treat and the K-Pak Moisture Recovery, Intense Hydator and Reconstructor. Will keep using them both for the benefits.

I like both lines; well I've only bought conditioners from both and that's Joico Moisture Balm Recovery and Butter Treat. Both products are gorgeous, and I couldn't choose!

Joico for me, hands down...I've only used the K-pak line, and from Redken, Ive used the Butter treat shampoo and condish, All soft heavy cream, total control conditioner and the smooth down serum. Redken is aight, but nothing compared to Joico. K-pak was the saving grace for my hair IMO.

JOICO! I have not tried Redken so I cannot attest to its efficacy but I will NOT stray from my beloved Joico. I use the K-Pack, Moisture Recovery and Silk Touch (for coarse hair) lines.

I Love things in both Lines. I love the Smooth Down Butter Treat, All Soft Heavy Creme and the Extreme Rescue Force. But then there's Joico........and all their Fabulous Products......:giggle:

Even though I ranked Joico #1 -- I still like things that both Lines Carry.

I am such a Product Junkie.

My vote will go to Joico because of the human hair keratin in it and because of the many rave reviews on it. I already used a few of them and love them so far. I seriously want the Body Luxe and full line of the K-Pak versions of it but need to use up some stuff in my stash before getting anything new for now.

redken is ok, but it always leaves more to be desired. The shampoos ALWAYS dry out my hair and the conditioners are good, but don't do anything spectacular

I have used Joico and like it a lot...but my hair LOVES Redken and responds really well to it. Redken is my main staple. I believe it allows me to bdry and flat iron weekly and still have (what I feel like is) nice hair.

I am a Redkin girl. I love the all soft line and the extreme line. Don't get me wrong, I love K-Pak too, but I haven't tried the whole line. I used the reconstructor and I really like how that makes my hair feel. I love clarifying and then using the All Soft conditioner. My hair ends up really soft. I have a really good slip and strength when I use the K-Pak reconstructor. I really like them both, but I have noticed a significant difference in the health of my hair after using Redkin All soft because of all the damage I did to my hair previously.

I will try some of the other lines from Joico because you all make the moisture recovery line sound like it's the bomb diggy.

What you FEEL like is good hair?!? Girl have you looked at your siggy? Your hair is off the chains!!

I've only tried Redken and liked it. I'll be trying the Joico Silk Results line at the end of next month to straighten my hair, but the guy recommended it with no hesitation, and I've heard such great things about it, so I'm excited! :yep::yep:

I think I made the right decision, to continue to use both lines. I  stuff from both of them.

I will alternate between the two depending on what my hair needs at the time.
