January 2016 : Hits & Misses

Remember I used to rave about it when it was 4 n 1 cowash? I hope it's the EXACT same thing. Please let me know if they have a sale. I would pick up that cowash and the Creme Brulee.

@Froreal3

Lightly blow drying my hair after simply adding a leave in( Shescentit Cranberry Cocktail). Man, my hair feels so light and airy. Its still just as drawn up 2 inches from the scalp but meh, who cares. I havent had bone straight hair in years so it doesnt bother me.

QB Twisting Butter

Nice sheen, sinks in after rubbing in hands. I just cant place my nose on the scent. Its not unpleasant, its just not my usual taste for scents in my hair.

Miss

Me sleeping without anything on my head. I have to do better, lol.

HIT: Mon Platin Black Caviar 12 in 1 Multi action hair cream! My hair stylist used this on my hair after washing/before blow drying and it makes my hair feels so soft..it also extends blowouts cuz my hair still feels amazing after 3 weeks! oh and it smells really good too!

Hit: revisited Motions CPR for my protein after taking down crochet braids. Pretty good. I swore by this CPR line when I was relaxed.

My HG Nubian Heritage Honey & Black Seed Heat Protect line is discontinued.
Family members tried to shade my PJ lifestyle; then stole my Whipped Pudding, Greg Juice, Alikay Naturals Creme Brulee & Kinky Curly Curling Custard. Thank goodness this PJ has back-up & understudy products.
:brucelee:I had to sleep with one eye open to keep my 16oz Hair Dew safe:whip:

Silk Elements Olive Oil Heat Protection spray didn't adhere to my strands. It was excellent years ago. I used it with the SM JBCO blow dry cream. I need to try it alone.

Getting weave/wig checked by TSA agents, my mom & 96 year-old grandma.

Former Hit Now Miss
SM JBCO clarifying shampoo & styling lotion together gave me instant protein overload. I planned to straighten today but my hair looks & feels like plastic.

Tentative Hits ( weather wise)
Shescentit Green Tea Hair Milk and Oil Free curl defining gel

My hair is uber soft and fluffy, not a definition in sight. Which I take is probably the glycerin in the gel. I just got into the office and i can hear the AC on ( i dont know why its still on when its 32 degrees outside) so I have a feeling its going to get hard soon but all morning in the house and car, lawd, plush!!

I have rediscovered Dominincan products again and can't believe that I had forgotten about them for so long!

Silicon Mix and Kanechom Goat Milk are both heavenly.

How long have you been using this? I just found reviews raving about this. I never thought the day would come, but I'm down to my last scoop of conditioner and I am no longer a product junkie. I'm in everybody's threads trying to find something.

Years ago I loved silicon mix, but it caused a set back for me.

I just started last month. I used to use Silicon Mix years ago and liked it, but just kind of forgot about it. I heard everyone raving about this combo and I found it on Amazon for $20 so I thought I would give it a try. I mixed both of them together and it was awesome! I'm definitely sticking with this combo for a while.

The issue I had with silicon mix was my fault. I loved it so much I used it for everything. I never shampooed/ I cowashed with it. I used it as a leave in. So I had a ton of build up and didn't know it.

Immediate hit: Chi Silk Infusion sample

My hair was already shiny and moisturized but I put just about a dime size amount of this in my hair and blow dried and OMG. My hair said "Oh my my, oh hell yes!". It just feels better. It has more body and bounce and I really like running my hands through it. Also, from the time I started to shampoo my hair until the time I finished my blow dry I lost under 30 hairs - mostly shed, not broken. For some people this is still a lot but for me, as a fine-strand relaxed head, this is super. There were less than 10 hairs in my hair catcher in the shower after shampooing/conditioning and there were about that many after combing and blow drying on the floor. This stuff is a keeper... I know it's on the expensive side but if I'm using a dime size amount with each wash a 6 oz could last me a whole year. Plus I'm sure I can find it at a good price for 6 oz (under $20).

I'm going to try this Biosilk next. I really didn't ever think I'd like serums but this may be a nice addition to my routine, and it only takes a few seconds to apply. If the next few I try aren't as good as this Chi then I'll just stick with that.
