For sure, I've found my staple rollersetting technique that prevents breakage for my fine hair. Rather than come straight out of the shower with sopping wet hair, I towel dry as much as possible, then apply my cream leave-in, serum and detangle to rollerset. Once I section off hair to put a roller in, then I spray down that section with my water bottle. So much easier than the other way, and when I blow my roots out, it's flawless.

I'll come back later and post my staple products...

You have never lied. I've always been able to rollerset better dry-damp vs. sopping wet :yep:

Conditioner for washes/detangling: Whatever, really (yesterday it was HE none of your frizzness)
Deep Conditioner: SE Megasilk Moisturizing Treatment
Oil: I don't really need it, but I like coconut oil to refresh a second day puff
Gel: Ampro Pro Styl Clear Ice
Moisturizer: ORS Olive Oil in the bottle (for natural styles) and in the jar (for maintaining straightened hair)

Still looking for a good shampoo...that GVP Extra Gentle is next on the try list.

my staples are
Cantu Leave in Conditioner mixed with tea-tree oil

S-Curl Moisturizer

Essential Oils
Jojoba

My hair stays bone dry so it can take a lot of moisterizers, of course I think it's making up for the many many years I left it bone dry, trying to have hair that would blow in the wind
Little did I know it was breakng off and blowing away

I haven't found my staple anything!
Hopefully this will change when my Hairveda order gets here.
I've also got my eye on the shescentit line, WEN or HairOne....and I'm going to try castor oil and unpetroleum for sealing to see if they're any better then my coconut oil (I think I need something much thicker).
I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Shampoo Elasta Shampoo for Relaxed Hair, ORS Creamy Aloe
DC Silk Elements Moisturizing Treatment (Kenra MC & Pantene R&N Mask are close 2nd)
Leave In AG FastFood
Technique Rollersets, especially ponytail rollersets

I thought I found my staple relaxer but I'm not so sure now. I think Silk Elements Mild is getting my hair straighter than I want. Trying Mizani BB next. Is it possible lye just isn't for my hair? :(

What staples have you found? I've found my staple....

Shampoo-GVP Extra Gentle, turned my hair around :D
Deep Conditioner- GVP Conditioning Balm and Kenra MC :love3:
Moisturizer-Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 Miracle Worker :superbanana:
Growth Aid-Bee Mine in strawberry kiwi scent :lick: (BTW, there's a buy 2 get 1 free sale going on! )
Relaxer- Silk Elements. Gets my hair perfectly straight, soft and shiny with no burns every time :yep:

What is the name on the GVP you are using? I just have GVP Paul Mitchel Tea Tree Oil shampoo, conditioner, and "The Conditioner" and it works nice. It make my hair soft until it dries. I'm looking for something that will make my hair a really soft even after it dries.

diva614, COOL! It does seem that we're twins, huh? How long have you been using Bee Mine? For a shampoo, have you tried Elasta QP Creme Conditioning poo? It's great! Sally's GVP Conditioner (Paul Mitchell The Conditioner) is a good leave in :yep:

When my hair is straightened, I still use 14 in 1. But instead of spraying it directly on my hair, I spray a little into my hands and spread it on that way. Love it! :D

Yes I have some elasta qp poo, I need to revisit it, I remember it being okay. I've not tried the GVP (Paul Mitchell) I have only been using Beemine for about a month. I did notice some extra shedding too, Im wondering if its from the Beemine.

You have never lied. I've always been able to rollerset better dry-damp vs. sopping wet :yep:

Well, technically I still do it sopping wet, but just not straight from the shower. The extra water in the beginning prevents my conditioners from maintaining my moisture/protien balance... So I just make my hair sopping wet with the spray bottle after all my product stuff is on the hair. If I did it dry-damp the results would be similar to air-drying :ohwell:

Technique: My staple rollersetting or rodding technique involves letting it airdry using the scarf method to flatten roots, detangle dry, spritz with waterbottle and then set. Kindof a damp set.

Cleanser: Baking soda/water mix.

Moisturizer: Water (as long as I seal with something my hair doesn't need anything else).

Butter: Shea Butter. I don't really use it that often. If I can find it locally then it will be a staple. I just don't like to order anything.

Oil: Castor oil...I love love love love love it. I love coconut oil too, it's a close second.

I don't really use anything else. As far as conditioner, I have found that I don't really need it...though I do want to try the caramel treatment. But, I'm lazy. I'm going to force myself to do it soon.

I love reading my old posts:lachen:.

Ok so now in 9/2009 the only thing I can say is for sure a staple is coconut oil. I've been using it since summer 2008 and I'm still using it now.

Everything else remains to be seen. I starting using AO conditioners last month and I have a feeling they will be my staples, but until I've been using them a year I can't say that for sure.
