I've embraced my Shrinkage!

After all these years, I've watched people do the whole wash and go thing, but felt that it wouldn't suit me. Now this week, circumstances meant I couldn't sit down and do my hair, and I left it in its shrunken state, and I LOVE it! I think this could well me a style staple for me!

Yay. Your hair looks great! I love the little "swoop" bang you did in the front. If you ever start to get a little annoyed by how much your hair shrinks, remind yourself that the shrinkage is what helps you be able to do so many natural styles. I have friends whose afros start to flop down after they have reached a certain length, but because my hair shrinks so much, I can still get the "up and out" effect no matter how much it grows out. Shrinkage can be your friend if you work it right.

I LOVE your texture! It's just gorgeous. Shrinkage is indeed your friend. I had to learn to like it too, or I'd be hating my hair all the time.

Isn't shrinkage wonderful. And you can even use products to control how much it shrink and wear your hair so many different lengths. I love wowing people when I finally straighten it out. They're so surprised at the length or ask if it's weave. You are working the shrinkage!!!!
