Banding Naturale Hair

1. Wouldn't the bands leave crimps? Wouldn't this style look like a braid out?

No, the crinkles can be smoothed right out atleast on my dd's hair it does. I usually band down the whole strand of her hair though. I go back and forth down the strand of her hair with the scrunchie until it runs out then I start on the next scrunchie.

I did a banding experiment a couple of months ago:

My ponytail did hang longer than usual. The second picture is after the bands dried. The third picture was a day later - I fluffed it out - my shrinkage is usually much more.
