I've decided to give up

TRANSITION OVER! 11-22-14
I will no longer do my own corrective relaxers. :ohwell: I found a stylist who can do my hair without breaking my wallet. I will be getting my hair done in the beginning of April. I am also restarting my HYHC. I got afraid for my edges, but I found a new PS that I can wear that leaves my ends alone.:) I have made progress despite my lack of technique to self relax. I figure it will be easier to touch up once a pro does it. I also think I will be able to do some long stretches once it gets strait...I hope.

Don't feel bad. I go to a salon for my relaxers too. I just feel like sometimes someone else can handle my hair better than me because they can see everything where I would have to feel around and use mirros. I am glad you found someone that you can afford to pay and maybe you can set up a routine.

Good luck!

yeah, this time the pro is a man. I've seen him work and he is very professional. He is also a caucasian guy and is verry knowledgeable about black hair. I'm confident he'll be able to handle my hair and he is not scissor happy.;) I'll be relaxing at the end of march to be ready for the spring time.:)

Congrats on your find. I can do most things myself but relaxing..no way I'm no good at that; broken, horrid hair from my own attempts.
