Guess what, I roller sat for the first time in ions, first it was a snowblizzard out and I trekked out in it to go to Sally's to get a heat cap, I got PINK magnetic with snap on tops, came back found out that the box was missing the liner that comes with the heat cap, called Sallys' /images/graemlins/phone.gif fussin about it and about the snow, I asked my husband if he would go back and switch, HE SAID YES,with no hesitation (probably did'nt want to hear me all night complainin /images/graemlins/cry3.gif ).

Anyway, I washed, conditioned with ubh, used lotta Body creme set, did a mohawk down the middle and then did the sides, it took a little over 30 min then I sat under the dryer for an hour, took them down and WOW /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I could'nt believe it.. My daughter came home and she said, mom you went to the salon?? I was like NOPE, I did it myself. Today I finger combed and there still there.

So it can be done we can master the set. /images/graemlins/clap.gif (actually I had no clue what I was doin, but hey.

Only thing is when I took the tops off the rollers they were nice and tight after I took them out the are loose fitting does this mean they are not gonna hold properly next time??

Well, just thought I'd share, I'm so excited I'm gonna post a pic tonight of my CURRRLSS /images/graemlins/grin.gif

That's great to hear MindyMouse! /images/graemlins/smile.gif I always need help to do them. Hopefully, I'll get it someday. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I hope it was'nt a one time get lucky thing..

It's weird cause the ones in the back where I could not see, acutally were smoother than a couple on the top that I COULD SEE.

Go figure

Minday, isn't it wonderful when you get that set down and folks start asking you if you been to the salon?? /images/graemlins/grin.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Doing my happy dance for you...

You can prevent the caps from getting stretched out by storing them inside of the rollers (thanks sweetcoa- she really is the queen of rollersets). When you take the rollers out, fit the caps inside the rollers and store them that way for your next set. The next time you rollerset the caps should still be snug (probably even more snug than your first use).

Oh, My goodness, thank you.....

I would have never thought of that..

Try it now, Kit Kat

I changed it to public

But I might have to change it back, cause, my grandbaby is on there and I'd have to kill someone if they did something to his pic ...

Thanks...

Tell the truth, ain't Bryan the cutest lil boy you ever seen in your life.... /images/graemlins/love.gif

Ahh , Thanks for being nice.
How can you tell though without my eyes...

No, Pebbles, say this with me.

He is the most adorable lil boy I have ever seen..

(ok humor me) /images/graemlins/poke.gif go on say it... LOL

LOL!! O.k, he is one of the most adorable little boys that I've ever seen. /images/graemlins/grin.gif You know I have 2 little boys of my own, I'm biased. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Yes, My sister did it. It was my first time ever with braids since I was a child, the were killing me.

We went and did those glam pictures where they do your make up and take your picture. She did'nt torture herself with the braids though.

That picture is a nice one. Your sister can braid from what I can see. I'm thinking of buying a doll so that I can practice on it. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Girl,

You are on your way to being a pro. I love roller setting my hair. It makes me feel good because I don't have to rely on a hair stylist.

i couldnt see the pics but i am wondering if you used the snap on covers or used clips? did the snap on covers make a dent on your hair? God bless you all.

Yep...sometimes mine are too snug and are hard to slip on the roller over my hair..lol.. I then have to 'stretch' the top a little first with my hands, then they are good to go.

Also I can't see the pics...I wanna see...
