Is your hair growing?...has anyone heard of this?

My hair stopped growing. I've been told that it doesn't stop growing...OK then, I'm doing something wrong.
I've learned so much here since 2003, but now something is just wrong no matter what I try. Moisture must be only 'one' of the keys.
What do you think about this? Have anyone heard of it?
I'd like to know if this appears to be just another sham. It's so easy to be taken when you are in trouble like me this year...
Here's the link:

Also, any advice from you would be appreciated.

Hi HP,

As I'm sure the other ladies on this site will attest, there is NO miracle product. Ever.

OK, that being said, there are products out there that will help you retain moisture, and therefore length, if used in conjuction with other methods, some of which were mentioned on the website (ie, not relaxing bone straight. I particulalry liked the almond bit, as I ADORE almonds, especially when I'm craving something crunchy.) Anyway, keep reading and learninig from the gorgeous, long and healthy haired ladies on this forum for other methods that will help you retain length.

Oh, and personally, I don't trust companies that refuse to disclose all their ingerdients prior to selling them to you. Caveat Emptor.

Good luck!

I agree aileenadq, why are they afraid to list ingredients.
I still need something to help retain moisture though...assuming that's the problem.
Any recommendations?
I am really trying to seek out natural stuff as I have a lot of stuff that's probably garbage. So thanks for opening my eyes here.

Unless you've reached terminal length, I'm sure your hair will continue to grow. I have heard people say that their hair sometimes goes through a "resting phase" from time to time and then it starts growing again. I know it must be frustrating. Are you wearing protective styles?

Cichelle,
I don't have much length? What's terminal length?
My hair has been resting for 4 years though...something is very wrong.
With all that I've learned from LHCF, you'd think my hair would have length of some sort...right?
I know what you mean about the resting phase though.
I've been keeping my hair braided (two french braids..sometimes more), mosturized with carrot oil cream and sometimes olive oil cream after each wash and daily under an 'instant weave', but it doesn't seem to matter. My hair appeared to be doing better when I blow dried it in the past, but I don't do it much anymore. I'm a natural...no chemical treatments here.

Pure organic Coconut oil is great!

I've heard of this company. I think this company has been notorious for ripping people off.
OMG, thanks!
Something told me to ask you guys if you've heard of them first.
Thanks so much redriot.

I have some of that. It did not work for cooking either.
I just remembered that I used it a few years back, so if that's good for moisture, I will go back to it for the hair.
How much coconut oil do you use? How do you seal in the moisture?
Do you put it on the scalp too?
thanks:)

I used these products when they used to run infomercials for them...they actually worked pretty well. They are just expensive, like Wanakee's products.

The Nap-O-Meter

"If your hair is nappy to fifth power it will need the maximum strength NATURALAXER to loosen the curl"
No my hair is not nappy.
My hair is sorta kinky when it dries and bone straight when wet, but not nappy.
BTW, I thought this persons site was not legitimate. Someone mentioned this above.
What does the Naturalaxer product have to do with my hair being dry?

nicagirl1970,
Who's products are better theirs or Wanakee's. Is it good for biracial hair too?

Oh i was not implying that your hair is dry... or nappy.

i just thought that the term Nap-o-Meter was funny is all. and their saying "if your hair is nappy to the 5th power" is really funny to me.

anyway, according to their chart, i'm N5 unrelaxed. My naps are definitely to the 5th power!

Hey, I found it! When I first went on my hair journey this was the first site I came across. It had a forum so I was happy to see what others were saying. This is what I found...

http://p069.ezboard.com/fblackwomengrowyourownhairfrm2

It seems as if they have deleted the link from their site. I guess the truth was hurting their profits...
I read it. Thanks ;)
I'm not sure if I should cut a lot of hair. I was told that it would grow faster. What do you say?
My relatives can cut their hair or whatever and it grows so fast.

A website for African American women who have considered suicide when their hair care became too rough...

It aint that serious!

The products she's marketing looks like the same stuff you can get at just about any BSS.
She's just using clever marketing tactics to lure in potential customers.

It's an illusion. Cutting hair doesn't cause it to grow faster. You're cutting the ends off, that's in no way affecting your scalp.

Basically. This website is pure BS. The marketing, anyway. I'm especially offended at the Nap-O-Meter.

I guess I went off the deep end yesterday...:look: My hair is not straight, so I can't tell anymore if it's even or not because when it's dry it's frizzy and weird.

I thought about this place last night and I couldn't agree more. What was I thinking?
BTW, your hair looks great Starian. Is it relaxed?
My hair doesn't look as good as yours. It's pretty dry no matter what I do. I'm trying to figure out how to lock in moisture in the hair. I understand that oils aren't good enough? :ohwell:

I remember doing some research on their product a while back, and from what I remember, it made a lot of people's hair fall out.

I have only used the hairline creme from Wanakee, so I cant really compare the entire line, but I really liked the Pre treat shampoo and hydrolyzer conditioner. I had also ordered the ends hot comb stick..

Thanks. Is the hot comb stick like a small flat iron because it appears as such?
