Now I try to PS (braids) 90% of the time because it streamlines wash day significantly and it allows for a “wash and go” lifestyle when needed. Meaning I can walk around with damp braids.

In the past I grew my hair from Bsb to waist length by keeping it stretch 100% of the time and wearing buns and updos 75% of the time. The other 25% was Bantu knot outs, curl former sets, or heat straightened hair.

I grew my hair from collar bone length to APL/BSB length by wearing it in lightly stretched out styles with a headband. It was essentially a twist out where you rolled the twist like it was on a curler then tuck it into the base of the twist. It created a curly fro look. I switched to buns because I got tired of this go to style and wanted a different look.
