Is it ungodly to use your haters as motivators?

I was just wondering that. I have always felt it was ungodly to compete. What do you think about this matter.

Great question I don't know the answer though, I would think that focusing on the positive is more beneficial than focusing on the negative so maybe letting the people that love you motivate you could be a better route. Isn't this what Jesus did?

Anyway I think I use a mixture of both to keep me moving in the right direction, sometimes focusing too much on the haters can drive you crazy:)

OT: Plenty are you giving yourself 1 star ratings?

What bothers me about that is that it seems like people who use their haters as their motivators also seem to be the types to seek out and assume everything that they perceive as negative towards them is hate. And also, if you are looking at your haters as your motivators, does that mean that you are not motivated or worth anything unless someone is hating on you (as you see it)?

Yes there are real haters out there but some people take stuff to the extreme. If they dont compliment you, they're a hater ...

Maybe one shouldnt use (real) haters as motivators, maybe one should be strong in spite of.
