Request Is it possible to block certain threads?

Pat Mahurr

Pun intended
I keep seeing very descriptive thread titles about topics I find generally disturbing. While I know I have the option to not read the thread, sometimes the title itself has already told me more than I wish to know. Is there a way to block threads that have certain words in the titles? If not, can a way be created?

:look:

I wish this were an option too. Yesterday, there were a few thread titles that I wanted to delete. I tried to overlook them. But that doesn't always work. I can't get with the graphic titles. Especially about children.

:yep: I'm not sensitive about much, but these get to me,too.

I don't have any posters on my ignore list, but I certain would have certain topics on my ignore list.

Sorry. I posted a sensitive subject and tried to edit the title but it didn't work.

Aww, Lynnerie, that's sweet of you to apologize, but it's not necessary. (I don't even know who posts what unless I enter the thread.) Everybody's got the right to post what they want how they want (within board rules). I'm a firm believer in that. And I also think that some of the "sensitive subjects" may be beneficial and informative for the right posters. Keep doing what you do!:yep:

All I'm really asking is if there's a way that those of us on the viewing end can have a bit more control in filtering what we see when we log in.

Yea, it's almost like we need a "heinous crime" board and a "ghetto mess" board added. Those type threads come up much too often. Most times I feel like those threads should stay where they were.
