I heard that the sweat from any excerising can damage the hair if not wash off that same day? is this true. And how would one go about washing their hair if they are a person of frequent fitness schedules ('Cause I excerise a lot with soccer and tennis--I sweat waterfalls too

!)? Is is dangerous to wash you hair more frequent than three days? I don't wanna go bald.

Exercise is great not just for your hair but for your whole body. Sweat however isn't a buddy to your hair. And I don't think it's dangerous to wash your hair more often than three days. In fact there was a loooong thread about daily washing and the successes pple had.

I sometimes just give it a good rinsing with water, when I take a shower, I just let the water run down my head while I lightly massage my scalp or maybe even a light conditioner wash. I dont feel it's necessary to always wash after every single workout. I workout 4 days a week and at least one of those days is going to be a simple water rinse in the shower.

If I happen to sweat buckets and my scalp feels weird, then yes, I'll rinse or wash. Otherwise, no, I don't think it's necessary to wash/rinse after every exercise session. I don't believe a little sweat is harmful to the hair...if it was, personally, the hair would have to go.

I agree. Working out and sweating helps your body releive itself of toxins too. I just do CO rinses to get the salty sweat out of my hair.

That's what I want to know. I don't have the "wash and wear" type of hair. My hair is relaxed and I wear roller set styles. I don't have the time to wash my hair every day after I work out. I work out 5 days a week. Any suggestions?

I rinse every few days. Wash and wear on the weekends. Bun, twist, roll, or wet look on the week days. Braidout today that will last a few days. I pin my braidouts up for a little messy look. It keeps it off my cotton shirts (for a little protection)

When I'm sweating really really good, I wash my hair on wednesday and the weekend. SO I exercise MTW, wash W night, excercise Th, Fr, Wash Sat OR Sun. Otherwise I just wash on the weekend. See how your hair looks/feels and then decide. Oh, my hair is relaxed also

I exercise every day and I wash no more than every 3 days, as usual. One thing that really helps me is to have cool/cold air blowing on me as I exercise so any sweating is kept to the very minimum.
