i'm trying to decide if i want to install a sew-in. i am texlaxed and swim about three times per week and do a pH wash and condish after every swim. i was thinking of weaving up so that i can try to encourage growth for the APL by dec 2009 challenge. has anyone ever worn a sew-in when they were frequent swimmers? if so, any maintenance tips? if you think it's a bad idea, let me know.

i was thinking perhaps the sew-in would get heavy on the new growth after some time and the frequent washing could do some damage. but then again, the hair is cornrowed, so what hurt could it do? suggestions?
