Is eharmony for people of color?

And the cost, but that's why I signed up. For me, it weeded out the people who weren't serious about finding a serious relationship. I ran into a lot of guys wantin gto hook up on free dating sites and sites that only cost $9.00/month. That's just my experience, though.

I was recieving matches everyday. It actually became a bit overwhelming. I was a bit more open on race to, so that may have helped. I don't know.

That too.

A friend of mine paid for my eHarmony membership which I was grateful for,
I also went to a match making /dating service in my area, but didn't enroll in their program. They had a guarantee and everything. :yep: Maybe I should have paid for that.

On my profile for eHarmony, I indicated that I was "open" on race, but all the connections I got were black men and unfortunately for me, they turned out to be losers and chain-pullers.

Maybe if I had stayed with it longer, I would have eventually been paired up with a man of another race, but the brothers were just blah. :ohwell:

I think they say it takes about an avg. of 6 months to meet someone on Eharmony. To be honest, I think I got lucky in meeting my SO. He wasn't what I wanted but he's exactly what I need. I will say Eharmony did a great job on matching us up, but I think both parties have to be really honest in filling out the profile questionaire.

LOL, I was matched with a few losers too. :look: I took the time to get to know all the decent guys, also I did a lot of sifting through profiles to find men of a certain quality. I made dating like a second job. :look: I was serious about finding a SO. :yep:

Lol at "chain pullers" january noir !

Another e-harmony hater. Living in the Bay Area (where there's plenty of people), they kept matching me up with people who lived 2+ hours away. Waste of time and money.

I met my husband through eHarmony. We are definitely matched in so many ways. So far, and all who know us will agree, we are a success story.

I tried it for a minute as well..and had the same experience..I live in the 4th largest city in the US..and all but 2 of my matches were out of town.

I also listed race as open..95% of my matches were everything but bm. I still adhere to having a man reach out to me first to express interest whether it be online or in real life. Most of the non black matches did that..I had one bm reach out to me but only to ask a question "I saw you look at my profile..why didn't you request a communication".:perplexed

What kind of questions do they ask you? I wonder if I could use eHarmony's formula in real life... have that list in my purse on the first date and and check off whether or not the person matches me.. if so 2nd date.. if not then I just saved myself a lot of time....

I have a friend :sekret: who met her SO on eharmony. They have been together over a year and she has enjoyed every minute.
