interesting question

Well, I don't know what you mean by "attractiveness," so I can't comment on that. I know that face shape can certainly be a consideration in length for a lot of women. It certainly shouldn't dictate anything. I have a high forehead and an oval face. Hair too long and blunt makes my face look even longer than it is, so I keep that in mind. I wore bangs for the longest because of the forehead, now I just don't give a darn.

So, I guess I didn't really answer the question, except I don't think it's a dictate, and I think self-perception of one's self has much greater influence over how one chooses to style her hair.

Not for me. Although long hair seemed to be the ultimate sign of beauty for some, I always thought I was cute enough to rock any length of style. As a matter of fact I kept my hair short for years only growing it out starting in around 2006. Since my hair is natural, I prefer it to be long because of the shrinkage.

I don't think so. Like someone mentioned before, I think its more lifestyle and face shape(features, proportion, etc).
I don't think the attraction of the face dictates how long hair should be, but rather how the long hair(or hair in general) is styled, if that makes sense. Hair, like anything else should ALWAYS bring out your best, IMO!

Face shape/features can definitely play a role in what styles/lengths look attractive. There's no denying that.

Some people can rock a lot of styles with ease. But most people have certain styles/lengths/cuts that flatter them better then others.

Lots of women can not rock a pixie cut and still look their best. Most women can not pull off an Amber Rose look either. I myself, have a heart shaped face and know that I can not wear styles that add too much volume around my face, without drawing more attention to features I don't want to draw attention to. I also can not rock heavy blunt bangs.

I totally understand what you mean and in my case, I agree. I don't have a low self-esteem issue, but I do feel that I look more attractive when I have enough hair to frame my face compared to when I do not. I'll be SO happy when my natural hair is to a length where it shrinks to look like a bang, that way it wouldn't have to be stretched or straightened.

not attractiveness but a combo of facial shape, features and bone structure. some people are lucky enough to rock both and look great....however its rare that a woman looks great with a baldie or buzz cut which also takes all of the above into account plus head shape.

If you're asking me if my appearance has any bearing on the length of hair I seek, it doesn't. I want long hair for the creativity it will allow me and the ease of styling too that will come with that. I don't even think about my face when growing my hair. Now when styling it, I might give it some thought but usually, meh!
