I'm Tempted To Buy . . . But . . .

I think the only product that I've been tempted to buy for some time is Oyin Hair Dew. Or just Oyin products in general, it's one of the few popular natural hair lines that I haven't even tried at least one product from.

I'm tempted to buy the Kenra Professional Clarifying Shampoo and Conditioner, but I'm going to wait until payday. I really do need to try chelating before I try my first protein treatment and before I test out my Naturalicious line products again. However, I can exhibit the self-discipline required to wait until payday. :)

May I suggest a compromise? Resist the Kenra products for a while and purchase ORS Creamy Aloe Shampoo instead, which is a less expensive, highly effective chelating and clarifying shampoo that will not strip your hair. That way you can appease your urge to shop while getting an effective shampoo out of the deal...all without experiencing any guilt.

I've been tempted to trial an item or two from that line, too!

Ooooo, thanks so MUCH, Pjaye!

Funny: After submitting my document to my professor yesterday, I stopped by Ulta just to LOOK at the Kenra shampoo and smell it. Do you know that they had EVERY conceivable type of shampoo in there EXCEPT their clarifying one?!

I took it as a sign from God.

And now, upon reading your post, I'm nodding my head up and down in agreement. Yes! Thanks, PJaye. You're right and thanks for bringing it to mind. I'd much rather try the ORS shampoo than have two, large, not cheap Kenra bottles staring at me every time I enter the bathroom.

I love this forum.

I love this forum.

You're very welcome. Besides, the manufacturer has changed the formula on the conditioner, so it may not be as effective as it once was.

I want to try more Camille Rose products and a bunch of other lines

I really, really want to buy a steamer.

Me, too, @Cattypus1! Twice I got a steam treatment at the natural hair salon and both times it gave my hair LIFE!

Well . . .

On the task to purchase a chelating shampoo, I went into Sally's. I really, really, REALLY wanted to buy Shea Moisture's Professional line's "Clear Start" shampoo

but instead I bought the ORS Aloe Shampoo. I notice the ORS Aloe Shampoo has cones, so I might return it. Still thinking it over. It only cost me $4.79 I believe. Maybe I should just keep it and see how my hair does with cones. :/

I've been eyeing up things like panthenol, vitamin E etc., but I feel like I should get on top of this shedding before adding more changes into the mix.

I believe that those are water soluable silicones, so there shouldn't be any issues. However, you can never be sure until you test it and/or read various reviews on the product.

I am tempted to buy some QB ctdg and hydrating balm but....the price. I've had them in my cart at Sephora for weeks but I just can't...
I also want some Oyin dew, honey hemp and juices and berries but I'll probably wait until BF.

I'm tempted to buy an OGX line; consisting of shampoo, conditioner, oil and a hair butter, ALL because I saw one of my hair idols make a video the other day using the line for an amazing twistout. OGX lines look so yummy!!................................but I've already committed to using Shea Moisture right now, and then I was going to transition over the DevaCurl, especially now that they've introduced their Decadence line........decisions, decisions.....

Here she is........gettin me in trouble and stuff...

@Kells Unless your hair is like hers save your money. Neicy is a unicorn. Her hair looks great with everything (I've heard good things about that line but tell yourself what I wrote until urge passes) ;)

Tempted to buy a QRedew. Earlier this year they were on sale but I had problems ordering it on their website. I'll probably get one the next time I see a good sale.
I brought one in the spring. I haven't really used it. I just had to have though. There isn't anything wrong with it. I'm just lazy. :look:

Thanks B, it's not terribly dissimilar, just much, much shorter at cbl.
It's hard not to be persuaded by her Fabulosity lol; at the end of the day, I'm thinking DevaCurl would be a more quality line anyway.
*Sigh*, I'll stick with my plan lol

I don't understand the appeal of handheld steamers.
I'll be getting a steamer this week, but for me, I need to be able to have a seat and chill.
I've noticed a few videos of sisters who have the QRedew,......must be good enough I suppose.

I'm thinking of going with a tabletop steamer because I like to chill too. I'd love to know which brand you purchase and how you like it.

I'm tempted to buy a hair steamer BUT I'm not sure I'll really use it or how to incorporate into my hair regimen.

I'm tempted to buy a full wig from a local BSS BUT I'm not sure I want to braid up all my hair in a beehive & rock a wig for the duration of fall & winter season.

OR

I'm tempted to buy Brazilian human hair extensions as close to my curl pattern BUT I don't know if I want to spend that kind of money & I've never worn a weave before.

I walked into this thread thinking: I am tempted gels but my regimen is set and I don't like disappointing products. Now I am drafting my black friday shopping list.

I'm tempted to buy an OGX line

Thanks for the link I am considering purchasing the deep conditioner.

I'd love to know which brand you purchase and how you like it.

This is the one I have. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...rs&qid=1444009403&ref_=sr_1_sc_2&sr=8-2-spell

Pros:
Table top
2-1 hair and facial steamer
Easy to assemble

Cons:
Not adjustable in height
Have to refill water chamber twice for 20 minute steaming session

Caution:
The white rim around the blue bowl is there to collect water. If you don't empty it soon enough the water collected will leak. There is the potential of hot water falling on you.

Overall:
I would recommend it if you are looking to try steaming. I haven't used mine in a while because it's broken. If I can't fixed it I am going to buy a standing steamer.

I'm purchasing the one LovingLady posted.
I intended to get Huetiful at first...tryna support black business, but since they've been out of stock probably forever now, Secura seems to be copycat enough.

Buuuuuuut........now that @LovingLady posted that standing steamer.....that would be more ideal than a tabletop, for me.
I'm gonna have to compare to the two.

I'm tempted to purchase one of those mechanical two-strand twist machines where you just clamp it onto a section of hair and VOILA!: Perfect two-strand twist. But . . .

. . . it doesn't exist anywhere except in my dreams.
Imma bout to report you! I was ready to purchase one too! Can you please get your invent on and build it. If you build it they will come and you'll make a fortune.
