4a - kinky textured coils from coffee stirrer size to pencil size.

4a tends to clump while 4b doesn't... from my experience, that's the biggest difference.

All 4a doesn't look the same There is a good chance that you have 4a hair if you think so. It's very common

My daughter's is just a bit looser than yours while mine is just a bit tighter. I don't know what I have, but I thank God for whatever it is.
