question about 4s and 3s type hair

I always hear about curls....what if someone's hair doesn't curl, but moreso forms zig zags...but definitely not curls...
I am a 4a with some 3c mixed in (i think)...but typing has always been hard because all the descriptions describe spiral curls and my hair never forms spirals...

is my hair probably more 4b/c?

Do you have any pictures of your hair? Maybe that will help. I hear of 4b being zigzaggy instead of curly.

Sounds 4b to me, but you should post pics of your texture if you can. What lead you to believe that you are a 4a/3c if you have no curls?
