OMG! I'm so sorry to hear that. when i get my hair trimmed I make sure I get my stylists attention just before she's ready to go in with the scissors and I remind her that I'm growing my hair out and that she cannot cut all of my hair off... so far it's been working for the past few months.

Precisely why I prefer to clip my own hair. When I do let a stylist do it, I make sure I am facing the mirror. I don't know why the heck they turn you away from the mirror when they are doing your hair. Isn't the mirror there so I can see what the heck they are doing?

WOW. I'm so sorry. The same thing happened to me, I paid a braider to take down my braids and she cut like 4 inches of my hair off! How common this is..... I do know that Supercuts and Mastercuts chains are GREAT for trims. When I go there, the lady makes my head face the mirror and she ASKS me before she trims anything. I usually have an $8 coupon , plus her tip, and it's the most peaceful $12 I ever spent.

I always hate hearing about experiences like these but the positive thing that comes out of it is that it keeps me resolved to do my own hair. Including cutting and trimming.

Actually i had to go to get a trim cause i just recently texlaxed myself, but i was scared cause eveytime i go to ANY hairdresser here i end up with a very bad experience ... so today i made my first trim, is not perfect i may have to cut a litle bit more ... but i will do it when i'm ready to xD

Try to do it yourself next time. Good luck.
