Type 1 hairweaves on 4A/B's.
Can I get an Amen!

Why do they insist on slappin a European Silky phony pony on stone cold a 4Z head?

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN!

-Blonde weaves

-any weave on a child :barf:

-weaves with the top clump of broken off, dry, no-lye permed hair sticking out of the hole on top of the head.

those little pony tails and then "fan" it out.

Ditto this 100%! I still see middle school girls at the school bus stop rocking this style. A high little pony on top of their heads "fanned" out. I hate this look. Not cute at all. :nono:

HA!! It's because you're in Ft. Washington! Errrone thinks they're cute in Ft. Washington!!! :lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Girlllllllll please. I'm on the DC Suburbs side of Fort Washington right near Temple Hills. And these chics be right up Southern Avenue Metro swingin them braids with their two toned foreheads like they are the next contestants for ANTM!!

I have serious beef with uneven thin ends (when it's excessive). Long hair shouldn't be the only goal, if you only got 3 strands touching your booty but the rest are at your armpit it's not cute!

Pet peeve 2, over greased hair.

Pet peeve 3, ratty weaves. It's not hard, just grab a comb and comb it. Just because it's straight or wavy hair doesn't mean it can't get tangled.

1.babies with chemicals

-Women usu. teenagers with tight rubberband ponytails, with like an inch long ponytail, also with no hair on the side

- those durned tight microbraids with no hairline

- the old "bun" that was bought in the 80s

-chicks that swear they're banging with visible tracks especially at the very top of their head ( the weft circle)

-little girls with with braids/weaves heavier than the girl herself

-poorly blended weaves

-women trying to hold on to hopelessly porous, splitted hair-cut it off and make a new healthy start already.

-those huuuuge fake twists

-floating braids- take it out already! before it locks up!!!

-french rolls that look like a big cylinder was stuck in there and the hard curls

Thin, overprocessed ends!!!! I've seen a relaxed lady on the train that had her hair in long ponytail that looked like it could've been waistlength when taken down, but looking at her ends was difficult to say the least! Not only was it bleached to an orangy blonde color, the ends were see through  looked like a good 50 strands or more, that's how bad it was. It's a shame how some ladies torment their hair like that. I felt like taking a scissor and going....:sekret: SNIP! LOL

Here's a list of hair pet peeves that drive me nuts when I see them:
  • Flaking hair glue
  • Little girls with relaxed hair or glued-in hair extensions
  • Any type of style in the which the hair color totally works against the woman's skin color
  • Destroyed hairlines, whether it be from tight braids, weaves or bad relaxers
  • Severely split, dry ends that are screaming CUT ME OFF!!!!!
  • Extremely greasy hair
  • Women walking around with so much weave hair they look like Cousin It from the Addams Family
  • Little girls with severely dry hair
  • Little girls having their heads overwhelmed with an excessive amount of barrettes, ponytail holders and the like

i luv naturals and i like seeing other ppl with natural hairstyles. But my biggest pet peeve is when i see naturals with lent balls in their hair... i know some people probably didnt notice etc etc but it just looks like you were rolling on the carpet for periods of time.

I could not have said it better.

I have a dilema how do I tell my best friend to syop greacing her daughter's scalp with Vaseline. Her daughter is allergic to everything, she had to stop using baby shampoo she has prescription Shampoo. But last week I was watching her slather on the Petroleum Jelly I wanted to cry. She is wondering why the little girl's hair is so thin and short. She is five and has 3.0 inches of hair. I want to tell her she is clogging her pores with gook I want to help so badly but then again my friend has really bad hair habits I have been helping with that.

There is this woman in a very high position of power at my job...Ya'll I was so embarrased when she came to a company meeting sporting this look that should have been on a 12 year old. I can't even explain it correctly but there was a lot of brown gel an Type 1-2 silky curly hair piled on top. Earlier at another meeting she had I think braids going back into a phony pony but I really wanted to say something to her b/c her skin look so tight and crusty....it truly looked painful....on top of that her hair was matted and dry and again the shiny silky phony pony. I feel like the old coke commercial "I'd like to teach the world....." I'm def not the type to keep all the secrets to myself I want us all to look good....sigh.

I agree with u ladylibra 100%. I don't think little girls at that age should have relaxers at all and i can't stand when the parent puts it in those little pony tails and then "fan" it out. when i see little girls like that i want to sit douwn with the mom and ask them what were they seriously thinking by putting a relaxer in their hair?

OOoooh! That fan thing bothers me too.

Yeah my husband complains every time he sees "Susan Taylor's" hairline on tv or in a photo. He says the same thing... Does she really think its ok?

We were at a banquet a few weeks ago and saw this lady dressed to the nines with cornrows and my husband turned to me and just before he busted out laughing he whispered... She looks like a Shaolin Monk!!!

I also don't like seeing that unkempt perm that looks both dry & oily at the same time pulled back into a jacked up uncurled broken off ponytail where 70% of the hair doesn't even reach the scrunchie.

But what I hate more than anything is seeing a Mom who's hair looks Decent or better with a daughter who's hair is all screwed up! And it really makes me angry when I see the daughters with there hair pulled back in a lazy ponytail and her edges are  GONE! Clean as a whistle on the sides & front. Hey lady...how could you let that happen. There's gotta be someone near you who could help do her hair even if you can't.

The "Susan Taylor hairline" is different from someone who has broken edges and simply doesn't care. I applaud Susan Taylor for having the courage and self-love to proudly display her forehead. It has to be "ok" it's hers.

I would just tell her nicely but straight up. This is your best friend after all. Tell her you are only trying to help. I would definitely open my mouth on this one.
