I'd Like to Know More About Doing A FARS

With Love & Silk
Yesterday a friend of mine with neck length hair had the most gorgeous curls which were obviously done with a curling iron rather than a roller set. Her hair was bouncy, beautiful, and feminine. I loved it! I know she got it done at the salon, because she doesn't do her own hair. So asking her how to achieve that look wouldn't work because she wouldn't have a clue if trying to tell me how to do it!

I'd like to know more about how to get those pretty curls in my hair. What size barrel do I need? How much hair should I curl at a time? Do I need to use anything to help the curls hold?

I know I've seen a thread on FARS before. If anyone knows where it is, please bump for me. Thanks.

look in kitchenician (sp.) fotki... she has a great tutorial

I'm not sure but I think it stands for Fake Ass Roller Set
Thanks! I just found the other thread about this too. I dont know what the style has to do w/rollers tho. It doesn't look like a rollerset to me. It just looks like hair that was curled with a curling iron. :ohwell: I dont get it.

It sort of does if you use smaller rollers and you hair is longer then shoulder length then your curls will be more like sprials
