I don't hate it but it can be boring sometimes, even if I use accesories.. But I soooooooo love the results that I get with bunning.........:grin:

I know right....i've currently been [RELIGIOUSLY] bunning since June 4....September can't get here fast enough for me to see my progress!!
lord help me get through this month!

I love bunning now!! I like that my face is visible to the world. I'm going to have to get used to wearing my hair down, because I just thinking bunning looks better. :ohwell:

I've been bunning for the last two weeks straight. Like the OP, I used to HATE buns. Mostly because I was wearing my ponytails too tight and I had a headache by mid-day.
But recently I've found a way to wear cute buns without stressing my hair (and getting a headache). I've changed to bunning daily b/c I love the softness of my hair after its been well moisturized and protected for several days straight. AND I'm trying to achieve BSL by my b-day (In Oct) I only have 1 1/2 to go!

October eh? are you a scorpio by any chance?

I'm addicted.. it's like breathing

That's deep.....I hope it get's like that for me the longer my hair gets...I gotta feeling after I see more retained length i'm going to want to wear it down more to show it off lol.
that's jst me though.....

It's second nature to me now to Cowash 2x a week and Oil my scalp every night.

Back in the day with braids i probably washed my hair once every 8 weeks
(when i put in and take out the braids)...and oil what?? HA! that scalp stayed dry!

I'm trying to get there by my bday (October 13th) also. I was a lot closer before I came across a SHS in June :nono: but I'm getting closer with wet bunning.

In high school, I bunned and wore ponytails because I was LAZY. I noticed that my hair was getting longer, but was too dumb to put two and two together. Then my "know it all" cousin told me that I should wear my hair up only ONCE a week max. Since I took everything she said as gospel, I did it....and there went my progress.

Since joining LHCF, I've seen all the stories about wet bunning, but never really did it. PSing works great for me, but I usually resort to braids/twists with extensions. It's too hot for that this summer, so I have been wet bunning. My ends LOVE IT!

Yes, this is me all the way. I put off wearing my hair in a bun until I hit a growth plateau and bunning helped me break it. Now, it's second nature for me to bun to keep it out the way and protected. Plus it's easier to do now that it's longer.

Heeeeey now. You can do it! I'm know I'm going to keep pressing on...taking it one bun/day at a time!

I didn't HATE bunning but I used to want to put my hair in ponytails alot! I thought buns could not be achieved by me! Well, after I learnt about bun inserts (and got a few)...it was ON!
Now, 2 years later, I'm MBL and still love bunning. I got compliments on my bun today and yesterday too! It makes me look more refined without too much effort!

I'd say for me it would be two strand twists. I probably had been natural 4 or so years before wearing my hair out in it's natural state AT ALL. Before finding Nappturality and this board I had been just wearing my hair pressed, micros/kinky twists, then I learned that my hair could be flat ironed (no pressing comb). But as I stated after finding the hair boards and seeing the twists with natural hair I fell in love. When I first did them, I thought they looked too scalpy, but now after perfecting my technique, I love them and constantly get stopped for compliments and advice!

I HATED bunning until I learned about the Southern Tease bun. And since then, I've worn it almost everyday because it's sooo easy, especially after I've washed my hair. I can't wait for the end of the HYH challenge so I can take my hair from under a wig and wear it in a good ol' ST bun. :D

I used to find bunning so plain and boring...but now I love it lol. I feel "safe" when my hair's in a bun :look:

This is exactly me!!! LOL!!!
:lachen:

Before LHCF I'd wear my hair down ALL the time. Now if my hair isn't up AND in a bun I freak out. The only thing I think about the whole time is "My ends are out, My ENDS are OUT!" So yes... buns have become my "security blanket"

Yeah, I do want to wear my hair out, but when it's out I'm constantly wanting to put it up to protect it...
