I've also been doing the bantu knot-out and my hair looks gorgeous my cousins are all wearing the same look now and I get compliments and requests on how to's everywhere I go.

I am glad it worked for you Caramelhonee! I do them too all the time and i love them.

I tried this style and today I'm rocking a shoulderlength curly style. It's looks soft and full. I like it. I'm going to try to take some pictures.

The only problem that occurs when I do the smaller knots is that when I take it down my ends are hard and dry. How can I prevent this?

Check out the thread I started called "Model Chick 717" She gives VERY detailed instructions on this style.

BTW, that honey glaze is hard to find, i still haven't had any luck

thanks for the compliments guys.

Give you more defined curls and waves... IMO better than the braid out. It looks more natural and ALOT more fuller.

Yes I moisturize my ends but it still feels hard and dry but it's only when I do the smaller knots.

I think that I'm going to also start putting vasoline on the ends and see if this helps it to dry softer.

Not really true...I do braid outs all the time and always get a thick full voluminous look. the only time I dont get that is the first couple weeks of my new relaxer.

I have to admit that my ends were hard too

but on the third try I put Citre Shine Spray Mist on the ends before I twisted and they came out better.

When I started them out my hair was wet b/c i just finished washing and conditioning it so when i twisted my hair, a lot of the leave-in (salerm & aroscio) 'bubbled' thru the twists so i was able to coat my ends with it. Before twisting, I also put neutrogena triple moisture serum on my ends as well.

well I havent tried the bantu knots yet so maybe I should just shut up about the fullness. My hair is short so i guess that's why I always have the puffy look.

Well, i've tried it only once so the jury is still out on that. I still LOVEEE my keracare silken seal - that is the BEST! i just wanted to find something a little cheaper just in case i run out of my KC
