On a scale of 1-10 I give my attempt a 5. I followed all of the instructions given by the infamous Model_Chick

but I didn't have a pick and I think that was my downfall. I tried to use a jilbere comb

so i messed it up and what's worse, i didn't get my 'afro' look

. When i took the knots out my hair was BEAUTIFUL, thick waves everywhere. I loved it! Then i used that damn comb and bunked it up

My hair was also slightly damp so some of it was 'heavier' then the rest.
I actually took pictures but i didn't put any blistex on my lips so i won't be posting them

I have it in a ponytail. The good news is, my coworkers seem to like it

I LOVE the bantu knot out!!!

Mine turns out better each time I do it...so keep practicing!!! It is a really good style to wear if you want to get a glimpse of what your natural hair will look like.

I tried again last night again and WOW !!
They came out better than what I expected. Instead of doing 6 sections like I did the night before I did 15-20. I got more defined curls by doing that.

The results are amazing

I think this is going to be my everyday style

CH. Try it again but buy/borrow a afro pick

I think (no change that ....KNOW) it will turn out better and give you the volume you want.

Ya'll betnot laugh

This is how it looked after the jilbere comb ... oops (note to self - use PICK damn it)

I can't co-sign that at all! Maybe you secured your knots with pins. Is that what you two did? When I did mine I secured them with nothing OR very loosely set rubber bands.
