I think I'm falling in love with my twa

I did the big chop about a month ago. I have to say, it's really easy to deal with my 1 inch of hair. Just cowash, spray some leave in and call it a day. And since I have tons of fake hair due to the wig challenge, anytime I'm itching for length or a texture change, I can just slip on one of my wigs. And with the short cut, I don't have to worry about a wig cap, which is great since it's summer and hot.

On the other hand, my goal was to grow my hair long enough for a bun. My hair, even relaxed, has never been that long and I'd like to use all the lessons I've learned from the board.

Any else felt conflicted/torn when they did the big chop?

:yay: :yay:

Any pics chica?

Nope. Not yet. I need to stop buying so many wigs and save up for a digital camera!

The only probably with my current twa is that I sorta did it myself. It's a little uneven.

Well, I wasn't in love with the way I looked. My jaw is a bit square, and I have broad shoulders, so I was worried that I looked a bit masculine.

BUT, I loved the low maintenance! For about six months are so I could just co-wash, oil and go! I kind of miss those days!

Don't worry about that, you can even it up a bit as you go along. Is it dramatically different in lengths??

I did my BC less than two weeks ago and I love it.....I condsidered doing it myself and decided to let a stylist do it for me and I am glad I did only because I started with a clean slate and I was sure all the relaxed ends were gone......CONGRATULATIONS and HAPPY GROWING!!!!!!!!!!

It's not horrific. The back is probably worse than the front. I do look foward to it getting a little bit longer so I can rock twists and coils. But I have to say, I could get used to having a low maintenance style.

Congrats on your Big Chop! For me I feel my TWA is very easy to care for basically just co-washing and going---enjoy this stage, I know I am. :)

I did my BC a month ago and I loved my twa as soon as I saw it. I've never had short hair until now, so I was a little worried that it wouldn't fit my face but I was worried for nothing.

I love just cowashing in the morning, applying a leave-in and running out the door.

I feel ya! I did a self BC and it is crazyyyy uneven. but i just just stretch certain areas out more then others so it all looks the same length. HHG!
