I so miss my hair...

Just wanted to say that ladies and there is no where else that I could have stated that and not be looked at like I'm crazy.

I last relaxed in April and then I noticed that my crown area had broken off due to ponytail holders so I decided to braid my hair. At first I was getting it crownrowed every two weeks and then decided to get individuals with human hair. I love the style and I have decided to try to keep getting it braided until next March/April which would make it 1 year relax free to give my hair a break.

The problem with this idea is that I come on here and read all of these great product recommendations and styling tips and I want to do my hair. I miss doing my hair but I know that next year I will have longer healthier hair to do :D

Thanks for listening

LadyR, it will be back so fast I will be jealous of your growth, and health of your hair.;) Most of us have been there before and may this forum inspire you with more styles while you work on growing your hair long and strong.

Don't feel bad. I went through the same thing when I wore my hair in braids for two years. Just remember--your hair will be gorgeous when you start wearing it out.

Awww, the bolded is why I didn't last too long in the braid it up challenge, and the thing is I didn't want to try the products being raved about it just made me think of my own wonderful products. Plus I'm addicted to DC and can't go a wk with pooing and DCing.

Think of it this way, you'll have a huge reward, God willing, waiting for ya at the end of your personal challenge  . If it gets too bad take a few days off in btwn your next set of braids, with all the NG it will probably have you running to get the braids put back in  .

Thanks ladies.

I am going to continue to run the race and look forward to the end. I have already told myself that at least until December, but I really want to go to March.

It will grow back. trust me.
Ive had so many mishaps back in the day and my hair always grew back.
Freshman year in college is when it all went downhill. I think im not the only one that would say that being away from home and being in college tore hair up. I was too busy trying to look cute flati ironing my hair everyday. I didnt deep condition my hair :O
It got dry and broke off. It took awhile to find out what products to use but guess what?

It started to grow and it felt more moisturized.

I used to wear braids long time ago and it thinned out my hair. It used to be very thick. The problem was because I wore them too long and wore them for years. If you take good care of your hair underneath it and not wear them too long and too tight you should be fine.

Keep up with deep conditoning and trims and your hair will flourish. good luck.

I know that it will grow back, I just miss doing my hair: DC, pre-poo, rollersetting, etc.

The only time that I can do anything beside to my hair in braids is when one unravels I will rebraid it  . That is my joy. In fact I will go on a search mission just to see if one needs to be done so that I can rebraid it. Sad huh

LadyR do you have straight human hair braids? If so, you can rollerset them and do different styles too.

I'm planning on keeping my hair braided until December also! I'm transitioning out of my relaxer back to natural this way. I feel the same exact way you do! I try to stay out of the product posts for this exact reason...I'll get back to experimenting with the projects until 2008. I just look forward to the 2 months when I can decide on the color mix and braid style that I want to get. I had all black human hair singles, now i have black and honey kinky twists...I put them in all different styles also, that helps me get out of the hair blahs. Plus I have had a lot more time lately to up my makeup and style game. Here is my newest discovery: clear gloss and Jackie O sunglasses with a ponytail look great on the way into and out of the gym
