Is that the same thing as the Moisture Balm? I'm really like that stuff!

I'm guessing you mean the Hydrating Balm? That's what I'm referring to. Olive and Honey Hydrating Balm. I'll definitely purchase the full size of this! Plus it is sooooo light but it handles my frizzies soooooo good.

I'm thinking of either ordering this or the Grapeseed pomade, I'll let you know which one I order and if I like it or not.

thanks alli. i have the amla and the tea tree which i LOVE,. they feel so soothing to the scalp. its the herbs/sulfur that im really curious about!

Is this a cream or an oil? It looks like an oil. TIA

I just received the Soften and Hydrate sample package and I am sold. I was using Curly Pudding, and Baby Buttercreme, but will use Qhement products for my hair once I'm done. The Soften & Hydrate Sampler includes 2 oz. trial sizes of the Amla & Olive Heavy Cream, Honeybush Hair Tea Soft Hold Gel, Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm and Olive Cream Conditioning Instant Detangler. My hair is super soft, I am in love with these products. This is a definant keeper.

Are you most of you ladies wearing your hair natural or styling it curly when using these products? I want to know if it works well on relaxed hair that is flat ironed.

Girlllll, i thought you were about to say you hated my BELOVED  :lachen: I was about to croak... YES, the HEAVY CREAM is THE BEST!!

If anyone wants to order, order it from Naturally Curly's Curl Mart and use the code iVillage and you get 20% off of your order!

Ok y'all I just got my second order. This time I got the 6oz of the Heavy creme and I also got the Grapeseed pomade. Well I used the pomade on my scalp because I was having some itchies and now my scalp feels so much better. It is heavy (like grease) so I use it as a sealer for my ends after I put on some of the heavy creme. I'm not a fan of the smell but it doesn't linger, next time I'm trying the alma pomade. I think I've found the magical duo of moisturizers that works for me, Heavy cream and ORS carrot oil together for me is a great combo!

the grapeseed has a strong tea tree smell but you're right, it doesn't linger. the amla is unscented so it doesn't have that typical strong perfumy smell, it smells a little like roasted peanuts.

You guys are sooooo making me want to try this stuff! I have been eyeing the heavy creme for quite some time, now.

Does anyone know how it compares to avocado butter?

I baggy with the Olive and Honey Balm and a few squirts of Macassar Oil.... it makes my hair feel like a big ol cloud. The shampoo has made my hair so strong, I hardly lose any hair in the shower anymore. I used to clog the drains, and now I only lose about 20-50 hairs. Definate staples for me! (oh, and I'm relaxed)

Tiffers you're stirring up the PJ in me! I was thinking about buying this again because I haven't found an effective moisturizer for my hair.

I started using Fermodyl 619 with my other leave ins because it really does make them work better and I thought I had found my HG moisturizer. Boy was I wrong, now I know what moisturized hair really feels like. I just got my Qhemet products about a week ago. WHERE HAS THIS STUFF BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!!! It really works! The real test came after I did a henna treatment and this stuff kept my hair so soft and moisturized. I keep touching it. I like that it's not silicone making it feel good but it really feels moisturized. I don't have to use it daily either.
I use the Burdock Cream:lick: and seal with the Honey & Olive Hydrating Balm. I have tried them on both damp and dry hair and they work wonderfully. I don't need fermodyl to help these work, they work just fine on their own. I also tried the Amla Heavy Cream and I just don't get the hype on that one:nono:. I have tried it on damp and dry hair, by itself, with Burdock, with the hydrating balm and nothing. If anything it makes my hair feel crunchy and dry. I know another poster started a thread about it making her hair crunchy too (I think she figured out how to use it for her hair though) but I think I'll just use it on my scalp and will not repurchase. I purchased the sample size so I don't feel too bad. But the other 2 I will repurchase for life!
I really wanted the heavy cream to work specifically for the winter but hopefully the Burdock cream and hydrating balm will work just as well during the winter. To me it's worth the wait for shipping and the price.

BTW-I am trasitioning 4b and this works on the relaxed and VERY well on the natural parts.

I'm trying to figure out how to use the Honey and Olive Hydrating Balm. Also the cleansing tea. I use a combination of the products(mainly detangling creme) on DD's rollerset and it came out wonderfully moisturized. The rollerset was very smooth, shiny and definitely not dry. Usually we have to use a moisturizing product right after a rollerset but not this time!

I like to use a water based moisturizer (Burdock Cream) first and then a little of the Honey Balm on top to seal and add even more moisture. I have not used the balm alone because it has no water in it. It works like a charm.:yep:

Did y'all see that July 3 between 3 and 8pm is another 20% off sale? I have used Qhemet in the past when natural and loved it. Especially the tea gel and the olive honey hydrating balm. I'm planning an order for the July 3 sale.
