Well I finally got my first Affirm touch-up last night. I have to tell you ladies that I can tell a difference - big time. My hair is so silky and straight! I went to Tania my friends stylist. She did a wonderful job. She didn't overlap, she put a protective blocker on my hair. Based the hell out of my scalp (I burn easy) and worked really fast. She used Alter Ego Coconut to deep condition me. And did a finishing rinse with another conditioner which smelled perfumey but light. I got a rollerset with Salerm21 and some other thing she said she just got from Spain. She blew my hair on a warm setting which I really liked just for body. Most of time the blow-outs I usually get are smoking. Well my hair is swinging. We'll see how my hair holds up in this humidity. It's supposed to me 96 in DC today. Anyway, I just thought I'd let you know since I am now a believer in Affirm. I'm really glad I found Tania too. I booked another appointment for next week.

Thats great Luli, I'm going for my first Affirm relaxer next week. I'm trying out a new salon in London, I hope mine turns out well too!

Congratulations! I'm glad it worked for you!

Hi Pandora

I'm not going to LaCoupe, the prices were a litle steep for me (student), so I'm going to this place www.jeanpaton.co.uk , a friend of mine recommended it to me. Its a little cheaper and when I called they made a good impression on me, had a professional manner. Anyway, I hope it works out. I'll let you know!

Affirm rules! after six months of fierce new growth it made my hair straight and silky in no time. And that was the regular I can only imagine what the super does.

I have already gotten 5 compliments this morning on my hair. The shine and bounce is really great. It must be the relaxer and that other leave-in she put in my hair. Or maybe I'm just swinging it too much.

Does anyone use the Affirm FiberGuard????

[/ QUOTE ]

yep - but i think my hair is too thick for it so it didnt process it properly. so ive been using the regular affirm. fiberguard is for those with thin or rather fine hair.

SherryLove,

I recently received the Fiberguard relaxer and my hair is fine and thick. It left my hair very silky.

Thanks,

MissB

when I finished my Dudley' supply,i will go back to the Affirm FiberGuard.. I also used it in the past with good results......

Hey Luli! So glad it worked for you1 What strength did you use? I've had HORRIBLE underprocessing experiences with this mild

Soslychic,

She used the regular on my hair. My hair has never been this straight and I'm used to using strong relaxers like Bantu and Revlon. I'm in heaven with my hair. Day 3 and it still looks good with lots of body.

I had the same results when I got my hair done last week with the Affirm regular sensitive scalp. It was soooo silky and smooth...still is after daily rinsing.

Sherrylove,
Aren't you afraid to switch relaxers? It looks like what you are using is working well for you. I haven't had much luck with switching relaxers...I suspect that I may be allergic to some kinds..
