Here is the deal. I finally touched up after 16wks. I am about an inch or half inch from brastrap because she trim about 1 inch when I told her a mini trim but that is another thread. I use Affirm with fiberguard and my hair is healthy. I think Affirm is getting a bad rap and I know why. I saw another stylist using Affirm on her customer's hair. After you rinse the relaxer you should apply the conditioner and let sit for 5 mins and rinse then shampoo. After she rinsed the relaxer she shampooed and then applied the conditioner. I wanted to yell stop but I didn't. My stylist follow the steps correctly and I haven't had a problem and I think the fiberguard is supposed to prevent overprocessing.

I've followed the directions exactly as stated yet I had problems with the Affirm until I started using the Optimum Opti ph Post Relaxer Normalizer-Moisturizer and Elucence Moisture Acidifying shampoo with the Affirm relaxer which I find so interesting because I just today discovered that the same person responsible for the Affirm products was also responsible for Optimum.
