I posted this link a while ago http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIyokqxVWlo. I could not find the thread to bump it. Anyways, I tried this method and I really like it. I didn't post pics cuz I woke up really early to work out so the curls fell a little and plus I'm tied of looking a hot mess in my pics lol. I only did 8 total but I'm sure if I did around 12-16 they would have stayed better post work out. I think I will alternate between the way in my fotki and this way for looser curls. I don't follow the directions exactly, I curl the hair around my index finger instead of the index and middle and use the middle finger to keep the hair taunt while rolling. Anyone else try it this way yet?

OK. Now I see that I have been doing them wrong and why my hair comes out looking crazy when I try to pincurl.

Thanks for sharing!

Same here, I would take sections roller them on a magnetic roller, slide the hair off the roller and then pin...the curlers came out okay the next day but it looked nothing like day before.

I would like to see the finished product. The comment posted by the video owner says the video of the finished product is coming soon. Hopefully it will be posted later this week. :look:

I've been pin curling for at least 15 years, because I hated sleeping in rollers, and this was the only way I could maintain my hair until I got it rollerset again. I didn't know there was a name for it. I discovered, though, that the "bobby pins" can severely damage my hair if they aren't perfectly smooth, and the clips can cut the hair while sleeping on them. I've found a clipping pin that is almost perfect, and that can be used until the coating begins to wear off. Thanks for sharing this with us, Shtow!!!

Thanks for posting this.:yep:
Very rarely can I get some decent pincurls when I try it the other way so I cant wait to try this.

No prob! What are the new kind of pins you use? Lately I have been using the wide-set, thinner bobby pins.

So do I! I'm been doing this for the past couple weeks, and love that i dont have to comb my hair! it quickly falls into a bun, or hair zing. and at night its easy to re-do....

thanx for posting this! I see i'm on the right track!

I will have to try that. She made it look so easy. I've been doing the roll on a roller and then pull the roller out method as well but it can be a pain to pull the roller out and keep the form sometimes.

This is how I pincurl. Although I use small clips that lay flat. When I used the bobby pins they'd leave bumps in each curl when I removed them and it made my final style look 'off'.

thanks for sharing this method shtow. I am going to pass this on to my sister.:yep:

I saw this video this past weekend and saved it to my favorites on my You Tube account. I can't wait to try it either. I agree with everyone else, she makes it look so easy!

After hot curling my hair, I would use my two index fingers and twirl the hair in between. Remember when were young girls in elementary school and we used to pull our hair out in the front and twirl it with our fingers to make a "bang" That's how I did mine and then I would use clips to secure them. The curls would stick upward as if I had a curler on them. Now I will lay them to the side and see what happens.

This is how I've been pincurling and my curls look great- not too tight and just right throughout the day!
