I just did an AMAAAAAZING ROLLERSET!!!

CH,

I did the rollerset last night and it came out really well! i need to work on my rolling technique (wavy roots in some areas), but your diagram made it super-easy to do. it only took me about 30 minutes to roll. thanks so much for posting that diagram!!!

umm, where are your pictures, miss lady?

Ummm... uhhh... the dog ate my camera
I didn't have time to do my hair this wkend, BUT i promise, i will do it on Friday and post the pics. I PROMISE!!! Scouts honor, even tho i was never a scout.

Dstdiva - i'm glad it worked for you.

Well, I did my rollerset this weekend and made an AMMAAAZING MESS The first thing I did wrong was to use lottabody setting loition, I followed the instructions on the bottle 1 part lotion to 2-3 parts water, my hair came out feeling crunchie and dry. It was a big flop. So I did a conditioner wash Sunday after church and reset my hair using Hair Twirlers WRONG Can sombody pleease help a sista out, tell me how to roll using these things.

lucky for you, i will be out of town this weekend, but i will check as soon as i get back!

I did an AMAAAZZZZING rollerset on Saturday using the diagram. My rollersets always look good but this one was amazing. I'm going to roll my hair according to the diagramf from now on. My roots were smooth and my hair came out shiny and bouncy!

Your diagram is exactly the way the salon does my RS! I've used the curling iron on my hair that way, but was too scurred to do my own RS. I need to start.

If you're referring to me, i don't use setting lotion. I did try the keracare one but that's the only thing in their line that i absolutely HATE!!!! It's too sticky and heavy for me.

I've been air drying the ponytail method since this thread came out. But, this friday I have a date, so tonight I will be roller setting and I can't wait to try this. My roller sets never seem to be tight or want to stay unless I put several pins in them.
I'll definitely post how it turned out!

caramelhonee, I can honestly say I didn't expect for my roller set to come out so good! I was pretty tight all around Instead of semi-loose like it usually it. quick and painless, I took a pic that I will show after a finish off the rest of the film. Last night after roller setting it was 11:30, I was to tired to go under the hooded dryer so and I fell asleep by "accident" the roller stayed in all night! not one came out in the morning! When I took them down it was a pit poofy also I wrap my hair and 30 min later took it down and it was straight and soft!
this is my my roller set technique from now on.

thank-you caramelhonee

Congratulations, CH!

The pictures helped me too. I *am* a visual/tactile learner (hee hee)!

I have been wet and dry roller setting for years - since high school. I do, however, tend to blow dry the closer I get to touch up time.

Anyway, my question for you is this: What products do you use to roller set?

Northernbelle - I spray my hair with aroscio leave-in, keracare or salerm leave in with a little bit of jojoba oil (thanks Bev

) and for my ends just a tiny bit of keracare silken seal - a little goes a longggg way.
