Bree posted the right one. Silly me, when I got home yesterday, I saw it because I had printed it out and not too long ago.

You've posted other wrapping tips too though.

Girl, this thread comes at the right time. I just bought some purple rollers the other day and I'm sitting here now under the dryer doing a deep condition and I was gonna try a rollerset when I finished. I've never had any success when doing my rollersets in the past so hopefully this will help. I love the diagram and I'm glad you posted it because I would have never figured out what you were talking about without it. Congrats on your rollerset success.
Thanks for posting!

That was a cute diagram.

I have no problem rollesetting the front. It's the back that just doesn't come out right! I guess because I start getting lazy with my parts. I've memorized the diagram, so next time I rollerset I'll try to part all of my hair in the back before I add any rollers.

Thanks, CaramelHonee.

I hear that everyone is calling you professor CH now..

CaramelHonee, I just wanted to say thank you for the diagram, I tried it last night and it came out a million times better than my usually horrible rollerset. The back came out excellent, the front was good too, but i couldnt get the roots that straight. But otherwise, everything came out great, I think with a little more practicing, I might stop going to the salon!!! Thanks again

I am glad it worked for you Adrieanne20

. Anything i can do to help my girls stay out of the salon (we know more about our own hair anyway) and keep that extra money in their pockets, i will do.
The next time you try it, make sure you comb your hair upwards, keep the hair upwards and roll it. That should ensure the roots ending up straight.

Let me know about your next 'set'

Thanks CaramelHonee if this works I can give up going to the salon for rollersets. My rollersets typically come out looking like so so bad. I'm going to try this on Thursday

DD - that was me. Every single time i did a rs i was soooo upset, it always came out looking like who did it and ran
laugh.gif
. The problem was i was trying to mimic them instead of doing my own thing.

Just wanted to add that you can also try combing the hair forward (or in a direction opposite to the one you'll be rolling the hair in) That will give an even tighter set

Cute drawing Caramelhonee...

The salons are going to hate us
grin.gif

laugh.gif

Not only r they going to hate us, they r going to have to lower their prices AND retake the damn beauty school course & exam all over again so maybe this time they'll learn about tending to hair with the end result being healthy!

UPDATE:

I did this rollerset last Thursday and I am impressed
shocked.gif
. My roots came out straight and I didn't have to use my Jilbere hot curlers. I dry wrapped my hair at night and by morning, my hair was bouncy with "bumped" ends.

Thanks again for the illustration.

Sounds like a beautiful set Crysdon

YEAY for Crys!!! I'm glad it is working for you guys. Finally, i've contributed something to this board
laugh.gif

Peachi, i haven't taken a picture since... since... since... LOL, basically not since June. Give me at least until 2004 (no month given

) to update my album and post it for you.

CH, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE DIAGRAM!!!

i only tried once before and it was a hot mess! my stylist does my rollersets (in like, 10 minutes) and i could never see how she got the results she got. i will be trying your procedure this weekend. i'm about to print the diagram now (hope none of my coworkers beat me to the printer!).

I'm glad it worked for you PBE.
Also, i will be doing this again 2nite so i've decided to break out the digital camera (dust it off too) and take a pic of my hair and post it... NOW, if i don't do it that means i was very tired and went 2 bed early.
rofl.gif

no excuses!
naughty.gif
pictures please! and i noticed that you also contributed the "slinky pin curl" method to the board also!

Hahahaha, yes ma'am, i will post the pictures. But i haven't done the pin curl thing in a minute but for you, i will post the pics of both pin curl methods BUT i will not pin my entire head, half will be the invisible rollers and half will b the pin curl.

Its a masterpiece, Thank you so much for your drawing and your written instructions. I am planning to do a rollerset tomorrow, my very first. Your post was right on time. I printed out your instructions and your picture. Will you sign it for me? So I can say I have a signed and numbered Carmelhonee
