I got my best curls ever using cholesterol! ~Pics~

It looks great!

I was using cholesterol to detangle my hair. I put it in large twists to prepare for yarn brains, and I must say my hair was looking silky.

ETA: My hair is 4a/b type, and I really like how it detangle my hair. I may have to keep this even when I use all natural products... unless someone knows of any 100% natural cholesterol.

Thanks for your input. It seems most agree this product is a great detangler/softener on natural hair. I may have to get this.

Poka, your curls are gorgeous! Your hair even looks thicker.

Those are beautiful results. If anybody is a natural 4a/b hair type, I would love to know what kind of results you get with the cholesterol.

I'd like to know too. Makes me yearn for my fro.

Ms.A, and Ivy, I really like that cholesterol with shea butter it is great, and it even gives my frizzy, curly, coily, kinky, hair type nice curl definition.

Beautiful!

Is this cholesterol (brand and type) better than others? Or are they all about the same?

GoldenBreeze-

That's great. I'm thinking I'll try it. It's cheap and if all else fails, atleast it'll help me detangle. Do you ever leave it in? If so, does it leave a ashy residue or does it melt in and disappear?

i hope it works for my natural hair now that im no longer relaxed. when i was relaxed it did less than nothing for me but i still have jar left so i will try it this sunday. i used to used it as a pre poo but maybe i should try it as a deep treatment on wet hair.

I've used this before alone, as well as in my leave in conditioner mix, and it leaves my hair sooooooo soft. Definitely a staple proudct.

ETA: I'm transitioning, almost 16mos. post.

I just baking soda/CON washed my daughter's hair and applied this as a combout creme. We had applied Silicon Mix 3 weeks ago and it's still in her hair, on the ends and they are dry as hell. I

Lustrasilk is just as good as Clairol HE for slippage. The scent? Like a light tangerine/mango and it's NOTHING like LeKair cholesterol. Now, I like LeKair but you really cannot use it as a leave-in. This Lustrasilk is light and more watery and dries clear, not crispy nor waxy coat. I love it for her braidouts!!! My older daughter is loving the results of her sis and is going to try and steal my stuff! Gotta go back and buy the 5 lb. jar for 4.99 at Sally's. Besides butter/ghee pre-poo, this stuff is a keeper. Thanks much!

I love that stuff, especially the Shea Butter & Mango. I bought a container for something ridiculous like $2.50. The ingredients were decent and I added a little bit of sheabutter and jojoba oil to it.

Lustrasilk Cholesterol + Shea Butter & Mango Ingredients:

water(aqua), stearamidopryl dimethylamine, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, shea butter, mango seed butter, cholesterol, soybean oil, safflower oil, wheat germ oil, aloe vera extrect, fragrance, vitamin e, methylparaben, propylparaben, phosphoric acid, sodium chloride, dmdm hydantation, disodium edta, yellow #5, yellow #6.

Bella!

This is right on time. I've been trying to find a way to soften these beady-bees. This is something I'll definitely have to try. Did you mix anything into it? Time to research Curlisto Method...

Thanks for sharing.
