I want to thank you all for your compliments. I snuck a peek at the site while I was at work and I was smiling so BIG and hard I had to go out of my office and let my happiness out in the bathroom so no one would think that I was crazed. I really feel like LHCF fam now. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
I'll give you all my hair story, it should answer all questions. I decided to stop relaxing once I found LHCF in January. I started to transition with roller sets. In about March I cut about 2 inches of relaxed hair off- then I was mad because I couldn't do a ponytail. For the next 3 months or so I wore braid outs set on perm rods, or I'd just set my hair on the rods and wear a tight fro, and them pick it out with my fingers the next day and wear it like that. In about June I began doing twist outs. I haven't turned back to braid outs since, but I am going to do another soon. On August 28th I cut between 1 and 2 and a half inches of the relaxed hair off. I wore my first picked out fro on Saturday September the 11th. I'll wait to do that again. I now have between 1 and 2 inches of relaxed hair left that I don't plan to chop until January 05.
My twists are usually the width of my pinky and I set them on pink perm rods. I lightly towel dry after a conditioner wash with either V05 Oasis Lavender or Jasmine or the Strawberries and Cream, then just before I twist I use a dab of my mixture of Hollywood Beauty's carrot cream and soybean oil. The day or two in between my conditioner washes I just spray some water on my hair and re-twist and roll. I also started surging about a week and a half ago.
