I'm going to start doing rollersets again :yep:. Today, I felt a little busted w/ my hair up in this fake-arse frenchroll. :ohwell:

Anybody else have a hard time wearing your hair up?

I used to - but I'd rather feel blah with my hair up, then look a H.A.M with my hair down, or have to constantly worry about it. I bought alot of scarves, headbands, and different kinds of clips and that kept me from getting bored.

I do, too...but it's gonna be one "blah" winter because I'll be durned if my soon-to-be SL hair gets destroyed by wool scarves and coat collars!

Actually, I don't mind french twists much, really...it's the buns that drive me bonkers if I do them for more than one day. I Caruso my bangs and the top of my hair so it's not as boring.

It looks like I need to at least rollerset it for style and polish sake. Then...I can do an updo w/ that...:scratchch

I just need a softer look.

I feel "blah" most times so I brighten my cheeks up with soft blush and make sure my lips and eyes look good. I try to imagine my hair at my goal length and that usually cheers me right up:yep: because I know the protective styles will help me get there faster.

I used to (only cuz I know I have a really big forehead :lachen:) but now I've accepted it :drunk: You gotta dress it up! I wear some really cute drop earrings, with a head scarf, and usually wear my hair up when my braid outs a little get old looking. It looks really cute with your hair up, and it's a little wavy/curly, then wear a little hair out in front of the scarf. Buy scarves to match your accessories, outfit, and purse...put on some hata blockas and you'll be good to go!

Oh my goodness! I've been feeling the same way for a few days now. Sunday I did a spiral set because I got sick and tired of updos.

I got a lot of compliments. I think they were trying to tell me something. :look:

I'm the odd one out - I LOVE wearing my hair up - it feels so sophisticated and grown up and elegant - I mean, updo's are the 'dressy' hairstyle, ya know?

Wearing my hair down, I'm always fiddling with it, and wondering if it looks just right, and making sure it stays in place - but once it's up, it's up, and it's lovely.

You know what?

I actually like it better, too. I just wish that I had more back there to actually look like an updo. My hair is actually just chin-length, so I have to get creative when I do something :look: And I just don't think it really looked like anything was done yesterday.

I think I'll still rollerset it at night to create some soft curls, but wear those soft curls in an updo thingy :yep:

 That was good.

And I dont' think it looked so bad from the back. I basically just use a hair comb back there to give it a little hump. But from the front :ohwell:, it was like.....soooooo  ....do you have hair?

Ahh, I feel you, I feel you.

Have you tried going sideways? Okay, bear with me....

Usually, updos are gathing the hair from the front and pulling it to the back, or gathering it from the back, and pulling it to the front, or gathering hair from both, and having it meet up in the middle/top, right?

Have you tried going right to left, or left to right? I'm natural, so it might be a different ball of wax, but I'm good for doing a nice flat twist from ear to ear, and then doing a wee bun, or some two strand twists, or something different like that in the back. My hair ain't long enough to do a 'real' updo on my melon head , ya know, so I have to split up my hair, and do some different stuff...... sometimes I part it down the middle, and pull up each side on its' own.....

I really think the shorter your hair is, the MORE creative you have to be to pull stuff off - once it's hit about BSL, most updos/styles period ain't nothing but a thing and some time....
