ladies last I have been transitioning for almost a year and I washed my hair last night and I had just finnished looking at all these fotkis and youtube vids and I was detangling with my denman and I just grabbed the scissors and cut all the rest of the straight hairs and now Im kinda sad but kinda happy....its just so different than I thought it would be....glad Im getting kinky twists soon...SO hasnt seen it and if it werent for me needing a ride to the airport in about 2 weeks he wouldnt....I think Im gonna get it pressed....am I bad?

my daughter just did this the other day, had I not seen her and helped her do it I dont know what her hair would be like right now

instead of chopping them all off, because they are at different lengths throughout her hair, I JUST gave a nice big trim , over an inch

she was happy but scared to, you'll get used to it

You did a good job with the chop. I went to the shop when I BC. If you still want straight hair you can be a pressed natural. That's cool too.

But, you might be in shock right now. Take some time to stare at yourself in the mirror. Get you earrings out put them on. You will start to feel it eventually...that man I am the Sugar Honey Ice Tea. LOL!

I don't know what my hair would have looked like had I kept my ends...

I still regret chopping so much off the front though... it's taking forever

for the front to catch up with the back... but you have a cute 'fro going on...

I say you slap on a sexy headband and call it a day.

But hey, today I am a thick, healthy layered BSL w/ the shortest parts being APL.

I did exactly the same thing. I got tired of the relaxed ends and just cut it, BUT.. I am wearing a wig to ease my transition. I didn't have to deal with the shock of going real short.

Do you and keep in mind that the time will pass quickly. You can always wear a cute hat when your man takes you to the airport. Give him a few kisses and he'll never notice the difference.

congrats on your BC! Your reaction is normal. When I BC'd. I was happy, then in shock and horror. lol I ended up wearing my hair pressed the first few weeks and then got a weave. It takes time to get use to such a drastic change.
