2 strand twists cause SSKs????I didn't know that!
So what are some alternatives?
@gimbap 2-strand twists don't cause SSKs for me.
I've thanked the posts that touched on some of the things I agree with that I believe can prevent SSKs (Keeping hair stretched, fully detangled, dusting ends). The point discussed in the thread below is kinda weird but proved true for me.
In the last 2 years, I think I've only used a leave-in in my hair about 3 times while in twists...and I found trying to redo moisturized twists was a recipe for knots. A problem I NEVER have, threatened to intrude on my life when I tried to use a moisturizer on my twists.
But after washing product off, DCing and then ACV rinsing and airdrying bare...my strands slid out of twists with the ease I'm familiar with. Go figure. http://www.longhaircareforum.com/showthread.php?t=495886
ETA: @jennboo I'm curious to hear if you notice the same^^ thing, since you're one other person I know who twists bare hair. Do tell!

. It has made a HUGE difference for me. Most of my SSK show up in my nape in the extra curly 3c section
. It is totally under control now. I may have 2 SSK a week. One of which I can unknot using the tip if a pin. I'll take it b/c I used to have 6 or more a day.
. I will be taking notes though. Thanks OP for this thread.
