How to protect hair during the work day when outside on Winter/Windy Days?

Ok guys. Today it is windy outside.

Sometimes for work - smack dab in the middle of the day, I have to go outside to get to another building in our complex.

Today, my hair was blowing all over the place and it is not that cold out - YET.

I am concerned about the days when it will be much colder. What can I do? I was thinking of getting some pretty silk scarfs to cover my hair with while I am out there. That way I can just whip it off when I get back in side and still look professional, cute and all done up. :D

What do you guys think? Any of you have similar problems?

I have been going back to my regular moisturizing deep conditions to help, but I really don't want my progress to slack off. It's on aroll now. :D

Silk scarfs are a great idea, I may purchase some to wear while I am out in the cold.:D

I will also be paying attention to what my hair responds well to, this will be my first winter with LHCF.

The scarf is an excellent idea. I plan to spray extra moisturizer in my hair and keep it bunned through the winter. DLewis has a very pretty french-braid in her avatar. That's another possibility, too.

I know I really like that french braid that she has there. My mom used to always do my hair like that.

I have been trying to shop for some pretty scarfs, too. Dang they can be expensive for the nice ones.

I like the extra large, plain, silk ones to wear publicly from www.tenderheaded.com.
I haven't tried wearing it the way you demonstrated in your post though. I think I'll try that next time. :yep:

Honeydew, you better go to the craft or fabric stores and get some scraps of material and make your own scarves! I'm doing that this winter! If you get them large enough, you will only have to fold them over once to hide the edge. Or I think there's something that you can iron on to the fabric to make an even hem.

I just might stop at JoAnn's today. They always have good prices and selections.:)
