How to permently change the color of your text?

When I type in a thread, I would love for it to be a lovely shade of lavender. Is there a way so that I permanently change the color of my text so I don't have to keep changing my default text? I see others with different text colors and fonts all time, I would like to change mine too. Is their text permanently defaulted like that too?

I think that the people that use different colors/fonts physically change the color/font to want each and every time.
