How much growth do YOU get from stretching?

Stretching doesn't affect your growth rate.

How have you been protecting your ends while stretching?

I swear....my 12 weeks is on friday and it looks like I only have an inch. :ohwell:

An inch in 12 weeks is above the average (1/2 inch per month).

But yeah I agree that stretching will not make your hair grow faster. Its to help prevent too much overlapping of chemicals which leads to breakage and/or damaged weak hair.

An inch in 12 weeks is below the average. For the average she should have something approaching 1.5 inches.

I agree with the above. I do 10 - 12 weeks stretches now instead of relaxing every six weeks like I used to pre-LHCF. My hair doesn't grow any faster but it is healthier and the stretfches are one of the reaons for no breakage.

Once you relax that inch of new growth, it will be longer and you'll love it.

I get a good amount of growth, i'm going in my 6th week now, I did a rollerset on my hair today, yall when I got from under that dryer my hair my hair was so bouncy and soft. My mom asked me if I relaxed my hair, I said no,lol. I told her I been stretching it. The thing is stretching makes your hair healthy and less breakage too.

My growth rate is the same 1.5” more or less (I’ve had 2” on a 12 wks period if I stay on my vits and boost my exercise routine) but I attribute my thickness to stretching, no doubt.

I dont even measure so I dont know, but I will know since I have my measuring tee now LOL.

When I saw the thread title I thought you meant for natural hair as in shrunken vs stretched. :]

I give up measuring my hair because it's only met with disappointment. Especially my bangs. They just don't wanna grow out...

I am 11 weeks post relaxer and it look like I have 1/2 inch... My roots are tight and dreaded so I am not sure how much grow I really have.. I just hope to retain the growth that I've gained..
