How Much $$ Do You Spend

As of today I am at $1,104.07 for the year on hair products, wigs/weave & salon visits. I keep a running tally.

It's not as bad as I thought given that I did once spend hundreds per month on the upkeep of my weave & relaxers.

My hair is in cornrows for at least another 2 weeks and then curly twists for 6 - 8 weeks. Depending on the price to have the twist installed, I may come in just over $1,200 for the year (about $100 per month).

yikes, this year, well um alot. Thanks all I'm going to say. ALOT. I think have haveclamed down though, did have to buy a hait dryer last month but other than that conditioner for vitaglo (34 and change with shipping) and Jamila (30 with shipping). It will last me for some time. (I'm thinking til the middle of december)

At the beginning of the year I was only using water and oil...so I was spending 5-10$ a month.

Now that I've added back conditioner and other stuff, hopefully, that will only take me up to 20$ a month. But I'm still figuring it out. I really don't ever want to go over that.

(Yeah that doesn't include hair...I am planning to make a virgin hair purchase at the beginning of the year.)

It's difficult to say. I'm guestimating that this year I've bought around $300 worth, but that's only because I decided to treat myself to a boatload of new products for my two year nappyversary (and I won't be doing that again. I wasted a lot of money). Normally it would be about half of that in a year. I tend to purchase things in bulk (shea butter 5 lbs, $35; queen helene cholesterol 5 lbs, $10; etc.) so the product lasts me a long time. Like another poster said, its the shipping that kills me.

About 40-100 a month....and then I relax my hair 4 times a year, and it's about 50-60 dollars each time.

But I get alot of stuff out of that money, because I try to only buy things that are on sale/clearance, I shop in the product exchange forum, and I almost never order products online, because that shipping...:nono:.

I spend around $200 every month! I'm buying and buying in search of stapes. After that, all of that spending will be over.

I'm also eying a Jeffco professional hair dryer. Will save me so much time and perfect for my 3" diameter rollers!

What's funny is a lot of my PJ idols have not posted anything in this thread. Ummmm Mrs. Coffee. I live through her.

Anyway I am probably at about 2500.00 for the year. That includes my Pibbs, my steamer, my FHI blowdryer and FHI platform.

I am not ashamed. I am not in debt and loving this journey. I must admit now that i found out what works I probably wont need to by anything next year. Not one bottle of conditioner.:yep:

I don't buy anything online and I use mainly drugstore products. I spend about $20 per month and that's not every month.[/QUOTE]

This is pretty much true for me too. I like to buy at least two conditioners at a time so that I don't have to buy as often.

I think I spend approximately $300 annually. All of that is about to change though, especially since I have started attening hair shows and getting great deals on a load of products.

I spend around $150 a year on products. One time purchases like my sedu and pibbs I consider splurges but they have already paid for themselves since it would cost a bunch to flat iron or rollerset my hair or even just wash my as often as I do
