I think that anything longer than waist length twists would be to much.in fact I dont think I would stay at that length for long. I'm so lazy. Does anyone know medzni (sp?) Youtube? I want an idea of what its like with hair that long

I wouldn't go past mbl. that's just way too much hair for me. I have to think about how time consuming and costly long hair can be. I don't really like the amount of time I have to invest in my hair already.

I will hope to get my hair to be past WL, but I will probably cut and maintain it somewhere between BSL-MBL

For me being as tall as I am 5'10.5 tall wl is way to long for my long torso, and also to me waistlength would be difficult for me to style/handle. I would be more than happy to acheive mbl!

I was just thinking about cutting my hair. I'm around MBL however I have thin ends. My hair is thin period IMO. Outside of this board I have long, beautiful hair however when I come here I feel below average or like a loser for lack of better words...LOL. I relax next weekend and I plan to go to Supercuts for bangs. Who know? I may leave out of there with a short bob. For me full MBL with thicker ends is long enough for me.

I say hip and tail length is way too long for me.. I am 5'3" so with hair that long would make me look short. Also for me it would be too much to manage and it probably would look boring w/o a specific style...

MBL is my ultimate goal... I don't want my hair any longer than that..

i currently have between 12-16" of hair and wash day is getting to be a bit of a chore. I think I can handle another 6 more inches. at 5'9" that length would be just past MBL. after that length i think i'd do more styles like LHDC2011 with blown out hair though not as often b/c i don't want to lose my texture. If I'm up to still growing my hair out after MBL I may try to get another 6 inches so I can do this:

BSL - I'm pretty much at BSL now and I'm going to cut it between SL and APL next week. I don't enjoy my hair now and wash day is a pain.

I'll let you know when I get there

Seriously, I don't know because hair behaves differently as it gets longer. So for me it will depend on how I feel about my hair as it grows. Right now I believe my hair is APL or longer straightened. I'm not sure because I don't straighten. I definitely want more length, though. I want my hair to grow as big as possible.
^^^ What she said:yep:. I 'll have to see what I feel like once I get there but I don't think I will want to deal with the upkeep of hair longer than MBL.

My shrinkage is OFF DA CHAIN so I really don't think I have a length that's too long. Whatever the length, it'll shrink back up to a TWA, so it won't matter anyway lol.

I'm not big on having long hair. But APL would be just right for me anything after that is too long. I'm 5'2 but I'm just really not big on having long hair. I just can't see myself doing much with long hair but having more hard of a time of styling it. (but just my opinion)

WL. i think if its a blunt cut at WL on most people its too long. if my hair grew to WL it wouldnt bother me only because im natural so i have mucho shrinkage and i rarely wear my hair straight.

i voted HL...my goal is WL and if that's too much maintenance for me i'd probably cut it to MBL or BSL...

As someone who has grown her hair to extremely long lengths, which I will not be doing again, I am surprised by how many people want their hair beyond BSL. The amount of time and energy required for maintenance and upkeep was just to much.

My goal is to APL. I think this is perfect because if my hair starts to act up I prefer to just wash and restyle. I don't like a bunch of protective styling, I don't want to go around hiding my hair from the world so it can grow just so I can hide it once again, and the dry time is a killer for anything past BSL. Wash n gos aren't really that feasible as I live in Maryland and it can get really cold here.

To each his own but I would like to see how many people really want to deal with having that much hair.

Hmm...HL is my ultimate goal, because I'm natural and I'm hoping shrinkage at that length will still show some length on my 4A hair (lol, I'm hoping) plus I feel like it will WOW people when I randomly straighten my hair and it's like to my butt lol. We'll see, I literally have about 3" of hair on my head, and IDK how many inches HL is, but I know I have years and years to go, so check with my in like...4 years, lol.

My goal is BSL or MBL but I'm sure once I get there I'm going to want to keep going (if I don't get scissor happy first that is)

I'm only 5' so anything longer than WL will probably be too much on my tiny frame. I will grow it longer than that just because and then cut back to WL.

.

That's because they have no idea what they are wishing and hoping for

I'm at MBL and I've grown my hair to this length before and cut because maintenance/upkeep was too much.

This time around, I've been able to cut down the time of styling and I know my hair better--what to do and what not to do.

I'm going for WL just to see if I can make it---but I know that's going to involve lots of work :nono:

My hair already takes about 12 hours to dry and it's not even APL yet. At least if my hair is longer I can put it in a ponytail or braid so it's not wet all over my shoulders, lol. With shorter hair, I really have no choice but to wear it out. Also, my styling time has decreased since my hair has grown - when my hair was shorter it took me four hours to twist, now it takes me an hour and a half. When it's even longer, I should be able to do less twists and they won't unravel, so it should be an even shorter amount of time.

Perhaps it's just me but I've always found my hair easier to care for when it's longer - if I'm having a crappy hair day I'd just throw it in a messy bun.

I really want to stop at BSL unstretched but the thought of having stretched hair at HL is just too much! I guess I'll see when I get there.

Plus I'd honestly like to keep hair away from my butt. I don't want to be pulling out extra long hairs out of my cheeks.

hannan!!! :lachen::lol::lachen:

I will say when my hair was longer it was really annoying b/c it was always getting caught in stuff...I can't even tell you how many times my hair got caught in those little screws on the plastic chairs when I was in school...and one of my friends would always have to free me at the end of class.
